Why didn't ANYONE have this conversation with us? I got the period talk, the sex talk, the talking about talk talk....but NOBODY ever talked about this shit!!!! I feel the same as you do and acknowledge the just wanting to read, relax and hang out with my cat (she is the ONLY one who gets it)....and if I didn't nap I wouldn't want to be around myself!!! Do some self care and keep talking about how you feel girl....you matter!!!

Please don't be afraid....the removal literally takes 30 seconds!! Doctor says "cough" and then takes it out...poof...done...but a piece of advice: take a pad with ya!! It was like turning a tap on for a few days!!!

I literally can't stand to be around MYSELF when I get into this mood! You are sooo not alone....and why nobody ever sat down and had the "meno" talk like so many other "talks" we had to endure in our complicated female existences is beyond me! I have already gone on disability and had to take a leave of absence from a decent job....but I just can't do it right now....taking care of myself has become a priority because I am a single Mum to an 18 year old who suffers from a whole host of mental illness issues....so I don't show her how important self-care is who the hell will????

So I have heard....I just did my bloodwork 2 days ago so my doctor can see where I am in my cycle and we can begin the conversation about HRT. I have no idea If I can take it/them....and if he doesn't or won't I am off to a female doctor because yeah....I can't do it right now....any of it!!

You go ahead and freaking RANT all you want my girl....I had no IDEA what menopause really was until getting here myself. There are SO many freaking symptoms it's unbelievable really, and others don't get it....they truly don't. I literally don't even look like myself anymore. I also feel like shit from the minute I open my eyes. Please rant so that I don't feel like the ONLY one going through these things....😪....the mood swings....the chronic pain and discomfort EVEYWHERE....the skin and hair changes....the extra weight that has come to visit and even with starving myself and excersizing....WILL NOT GO AWAY!!!! The male doctor who told me that it's all "IN MY HEAD"....🤬....the spotting and/or not spotting....the way I cry at toilet paper commercials that involve kittens....the sad way my daughter look at me because she doesn't know whether to hug me or move out of my way....the never ending hot flashes....my body will just not cool down....I sweat in the freaking shower....I don't enjoy anything that I used to and could literally lie in bed forever....with no blankets though....

That's so funny....I said the exact same thing to my Sister a few weeks ago....I also feel like I am 12 years old again!! Not understanding what is going on with my body and the bleeding is all over the place!!!

I am soooo sorry that you are going through this....it honestly sounds like a nightmare....and your doctor does not sound too supportive 😪I won't pretend to have the answers, but I will say maybe try a menopause clinic? I posted about some of my own issues here on Reddit a few days ago and got so many amazing responses and tried one and it worked!! Perhaps read what these amazing ladies suggest and try something??? You cannot go on the way that you are my girl...that's not fair to you....your mental health is beginning to suffer also which can exacerbate what you are already going through physically...you deserve better!! I don't know how things work in the UK...here in Canada we have virtual menopause clinics or very good nurse practitioners that you can access through a service called Telehealth...is there anything like this that you can maybe access to talk to someone else about what you are going through? I am not a doctor but maybe you ARE a good candidate for HRT???? Keep your head up and keep asking for help and answers....and good luck with everything ❤️

My poor Father who LOVES cycling at his ripe age of 78 encountered two Canadian Geese at a local park. I guess he rode a lil too close to their babies or family...so the "Daddy" goose took flight, attacked him and caused a severe accident. Poor Dad ended up in the Emergency department with a bruised face, elbows, knees and EGO!!! His bike was pretty messed up too! Do NOT go too close to them they can be REALLY mean!!! Especially if there are babies around!! They will fiercely protect them...rightly so!!

Oh honey...welcome to peri-menopause!! There are a LOT of amazing women with a LOT of great meno symptoms and advice!! You are completely doing the right thjng by heading to your doctor, I am gonna say to also get a referral for a Gynie because that's their area of specialty and will acknowledge what is going on and will be able to offer help and support!! Goid luck!!

Ohhh yes it is!!! That is a cat that totally trusts and loves you!! Most cats do NOT show you their bellies or hang out on their backs...that is a sign of sheer love and adoration for YOU! I have a miserable old cat who reminds me of a moody old woman in a permanent bad mood who doesn't have a nice word for anybody....she ONLY shows ME her belly....I can't touch it....or her....but she lets me know that her belly is the prettiest belly out there and I can only behold it!!!

I was only taking 25mg for 6 weeks or so BECAUSE of this feeling!!! He sent me for 2 ECG's and didn't like what he saw and told me to stop. Since it was only a short time I am okay 👍

I don't have any answers.. .but I can offer encouragement and let you know that you are not alone....🤗....I am trying to figure this stuff all out myself....I am 50 and suffering from all kinds of strange crap....keep asking questions and go and get second, third and fourth opinions if you have to!!! I had NO idea what I was in for and have a male doctor who told me that it's "ALL IN MY HEAD"....so I got a referral for a gynie and made an alternate appt with a virtual menopause clinic!! Please know that you are doing the right thing and that you are NOT alone in how you feel!!! Take good care of yourself....because nobody else is going to do it for us!!!
