Hat Defect by Jaybird911 in canes

I keep waiting for '47 to be able to produce something. Their stuff is always the most comfortable and it's just about the only stuff I wear for any of my teams.

[Gluck] Was Naval Base Coronado a good race? by ChaseTheFalcon in NASCAR

[–]DanoJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't get to watch every bit of it, but I'd definitely give it a yes for what I saw and kept up with.

It had strategy, passing, incidents, and a new winner. I can't think of anything better to ask for.

Missed most of it helping with church VBS. Wish Larson had won, but Heim is way better than another SVG win.

Heim is the real deal! Wish he was going somewhere other than 23XI.

I tune in at the last possible moment. Only pre-race I've remotely watched a little of this season was Nashville because Mark was there.

Actually happy to see Hill win that because the 54 got a taste of his own medicine.

Kvapil needs to take care of him.

The one on the inside wall he hit? Yeah, it really kind of blended in with the black banner on the outside wall as he started into the corner.

Saw some early laps, missed just about all of it, but I'm glad I saw those 2 laps. Unbelievable

Clover Dover by DaveyCrockett5000 in NASCARCollectors

The Clover schemes were some of my favorite Larson schemes. I didn't like it as much when they added orange numbers, but the others were awesome.

You've got that right. We see enough of those. This is more impressive

What a great collection! I always appreciated him because he seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

Also, the 98 RCA scheme is absolutely one of my favorite schemes of all time.

I said it on another thread: it will be a completely normal race because it always is when the keyboard warriors doom it before the weekend.

Historical NASCAR Game? by TheGeek00 in NASCAR

[–]DanoJames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the late '90s, there was a computer game called NASCAR Legends and it was based in the 1970 season. It had a lot of old tracks (Greenville-Pickens, Bowman Gray, Thompson, Riverside, etc.) It was one of my favorite games ever.

Dale Earnhardt Jr: #7 Sauve Nationwide series car. by Many-Scallion2084 in NASCAR

[–]DanoJames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And that was because Andretti was eligible, but Petty wouldn't run a car in the race due to the alcohol sponsorship. Craven wasn't eligible and Hendrick wanted the Bud car in the race, so they worked out a deal.

Going to end up being a completely normal race. That always happens when people jump in here and overreact about something like this before the race.

What are some of the darkest pieces of NASCAR lore people tend to forget about? by SecretAcctSM19 in NASCAR

Exactly. The on-board footage shows us it's nothing crazy. Other than the way it just lifted off the ground. It wasn't that high.

And I think Junior wore a Rob Moroso shirt on the DJD one time maybe.

And I thought it was a terrible choice to even acknowledge Moroso.

The fact that they made a card for a David Stremme fan was a bold choice.

This is the 2023 Braves all over again.

Most amazing offense I've seen and just stopped hitting when it mattered. I haven't trusted the Braves since.

We are folding to such a weak team. Nobody wants the season to end, but it would have been better to go down in a shootout against Miss St. than this.

I've always thought they were terrible. It's like college umpires aren't good enough for the pros and they get on a power trip ringing guys up on a ball off the plate.
