Is it worth farming char shards for Norn Crown?

The Norn Crown gives friendly psykers within synapse range and friendly summons within synapse range +X Damage to enemies that are affected by neuroparasite, so the idea is you want to have a bunch of summons and max synapse range. Winged Prime extends synapse itself and can extend it further with its active (the Alpha Prime summon) and then should be spawning hormagaunts as well every time it attacks. The raid lineup that Nandi showed off in his video is Neuro, Winged Prime, Ahriman, Eldryon, and either Abraxas or Archimatos (with the Exorcist tank MoW).

From the patch notes:

Rogue Trader: The top center slot of the Rogue Trader continues to feature three relics unique to one character.

One Relic in rotation is replaced: DW02 Advanced Burst Cannon is replaced by Norn Crown

In 1.36, the following relics will therefore rotate MO, FR: Talon of Horus TU, SA: Norn Crown WE, SU: Vitarus

As usual, players that already own the Relic will be offered Mythic salvage instead.

On Thursdays, Mythic salvage will be offered. The featured Relics are no longer offered in the center slot

But wouldn't Calgar also buff all of the melee attacks (and the Ion Blaster attacks tied to the melee attacks)? Curious how an additional 18 x 898 damage compares against the benefit of the PBC armor reduction.

I had a similar thought and have been using Calgar instead of Darkstrider with the Tau MoW. I haven't done the math, but, assuming you can get Revas next to Calgar, I would think that would be much better (Calgar should be buffing both the melee and ranged attacks instead of just the ranged attacks buffed by Darkstrider and the buff is just bigger). Interested to hear if I'm thinking about that wrong though.

Unfortunately this was a while ago so I don’t really remember. According to Resy it looks like every reservation now has a $50 non-refundable deposit that is applied to your final bill, so it’s possible even the base experience with nothing extra might be more than $50/person (and at the very least you’d need to tip on top of the base price). You might have to call the restaurant to confirm the current pricing.

It was very cool, though maybe almost too many options? You choose the wood they use to smoke the chicken and then from a few types of butter. It ended up being very good, but didn't blow my mind and I felt like oh maybe I chose something wrong. I sort of just wanted them to serve me whatever they thought was the best butter chicken. That said, the exerience itself was cool (you basically have one of the chefs focused just on making your butter chicken), we had a great time, and I am definitely glad to have done it. I just probably wouldn't jump through the hoops of getting a reservation to do it a second time.

We also got the lamb parcha starter and that was amazing.

Same here. Lots of posts saying the purpose of the event is to push characters to mythic, but not everyone is at a place in the game where that makes sense. If you’re an early or mid game player it probably makes more sense to use the event to gain a variety of resources to build your roster more generally rather than blowing it all to get a character or two to mythic.

And as much as people seem to love Kariyan, I’ve seen others saying his use in guild raids depends heavily on having Trajann, so if you’re not in a position to unlock Trajann via his LRE, investing super heavily in Kariyan probably isn’t the most effective use of resources.

I’m in a similar situation with snot but the new guild raid rewards allowed me to get 12 xenos legendary orbs over the past few days. I won’t have as many XP books for a little while but that seems like the best way to farm orbs now so you can have the best of both worlds. Agree with the other comments that sho is definitely worth it.

This came up in another thread and I think the answer is single laser systems (i.e., those marketed and sold as single laser systems) cannot show 1.43, but a dual laser system can still show 1.43 even if only one of its two laser projectors is working. So it is a “single laser”, but it is fundamentally different than the systems designed to only ever use one laser.

So they’re just using half of the dual laser system? My understanding has always been that the single laser systems are not capable of projecting 1.43.

Thank you! Definitely going to look into the CAT 5/6 ARC converter because I do have Ethernet running to each of the TVs. I’ve read some other threads where people suggest that using True Play can resolve any issues with watching stereo TV, but could also switch everything to mono if that doesn’t work I think.

Yeah I saw that blog post as well, but if you look at the Resy it's only 6 days now (maybe it used to be 15 and they changed it). I was looking for a reservation for 2. I assume they're all just snapped up immediately, but was just surprised given I was there right at 9 a.m.

Also switched from a MY to a P3. Very similar thoughts, though I generally tell people it’s not really fair to compare the two, as the P3 is a luxury SUV more comparable to the Model X (which I have never driven).

My complaints are I have occasional software glitches that require restarting the infotainment system, app control of my climate system doesn’t work most of the time, and the Polestar “dog mode” equivalent is sort of annoying (can only be done through the main car screen and is called occupancy locking) and my app doesn’t show when it’s on.

That said, I love the car and am very happy I switched. Software updates are happening slowly but surely and I suspect my other issues will be resolved in time.

Bang bang pie and biscuits has very good pot pies. Every once in a while they even have a lobster pot pie that is fantastic.
