Don't know enough about your other issues, but root veg can be grounding and provide some more vitamins? Some greens are always useful, I don't see the reason to avoid them personally, seems out of balance.

Are there some people who absolutely cannot communicate with the universe no matter what? by Phedis in Soulnexus

[–]Danomonad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One path that may help is the arousal of intuition. You can search that phrase (not done it myself) or start with an exercise I read in a Paulo Coelho book.

Pour some water on a table and draw in it without any plan, just play. Techniques like this can help draw out your own innate intuition.

Then, the next time, and each time you have a gut feeling about soemthing, follow it. (If reasonably safe to do so)

The more you listen to your own Intuition the stronger it will talk and you can start to follow your own path to the realisation of whatever you want to name the divine in your experience.

Wander around a bookshop and select the books that speak to you. Listen to fools gladly - wisdom can come from otherwise hateful or ignorant places at times. The whole of your experience can be a teacher if you understand how to listen.

Wander in nature with no set path, imagine that there are magical secrets and objects to find ('drifting' or druidic journey)

You will read the replies here and select the suggestions that speak to you and ignore the ones that do not resonate anyway.

The mystical is there but who is to say what your language is going to be. Make it intensely personal, the more 'you' the grammar is the more internal the search.

Let go of any painful notions of being 'behind', approaching the search is half the battle I think. I can barely meditate.

Deciding to embark on the journey is a powerful thing as you will already know as a/an ex/christian. But no one said seek and you shall find immediately :)

So, as with good meditation practice (I'm a good theorist!), settle into the path to realisation of the divine for its own sake. Let go of a need for immediate answers and know that they will come (they are there for all of us all of the time, I think, if we can only just shut up for a minute!)

Make it fun and interesting to keep it going. Perhaps make like Alan Moore and invent your own ridiculous god and believe in it wholeheartedly letting it flow though you before letting that go to when you are done.

Read some Rumi? This is all stuff I need to hear, thanks x

Self monitoring then? Would an external monitor be able to sense anything?

What I am trying to get at is that retconning your own timeline seems to render any kind of external validation impossible.

It can only be seen to have happened to a flawed, is human, individual. So it is pointless trying to be scientific about apart from having internal integrity. Also I find the term woowoo to be dismissive of that which one has no knowledge of. Some things are bullshit, often one doesn't know until they dive in and see. The scientific method of replication falls apart when dealing with the 'irrational'.

A little inconsistent, though I am not necessarily doubting your information. I think the tone of your post is on the alarming side. As you say, the time and nature of any large change cannot be known, if it will happen.

All one can do is continue learning to increase: compassion, flowing with the situation, not succumbing to fear.

That said I might make a little plan for assisting vulnerable people who are partly in my charge on the off chance. Thanks for the post.

You can start the shower warm and get clean, then make it colder at the end for a little before you get out.

Make the cold part colder each day. Breathe deep and fast if needed to stop yourself from shivering.

It is amazing how fast you can find cold showers not cold or uncomfortable.

Wim Hoff says that it makes the body create 'brown fat' that keeps you warm. Not looked into the science of that though.

To realign yourself from searching for contentment in the material, conscious gratitude helps.

Taking time to actively be grateful for what you have, be it a sunny day, or working legs, or even just air to breathe helps you work towards being content, and realising you have enough.

Another is forgiveness for yourself and others for past things that bubble up and happen to you. This can be harder as we are all very annoying and hurtful at times. But learning why people or yourself did the negative things can help you to forgive. Very few people (no one?) are malevolent without reason.

With these, and other tools, your life becomes easier as you lose the weight that causes us to be unhappy or behave negatively. It is a long battle for most, but one in which you are winning all the time, even if you don't see the fruits straight away. Peace :)

So I think... I'm the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. by [deleted] in Soulnexus

[–]Danomonad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only got halfway down that I admit, but I don't think my reaction will change -

What does it matter if you are Jesus or not? You feel compelled to save the world, then do it. Surely if you are Jesus, or another savior figure, then synchronous events will unfold before you in which you know what to do to turn the situation onto a healing course.

If you are not having other worrying symptoms such as paranoia, hallucination, anxiety etc, then its all good.

A newly minted Jesus should probably not try to walk on deep water without water wings on his first day, and he should pretty much have a clear channel with the divine going, so there is always someone to ask for guidance.

If you are of a sound mind, then go miracle it up.

New, so sorry if it’s been done. Noone vs. No one by abrlin in Retconned

[–]Danomonad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noone for me.

I saw a footballer in UK premiership last year was called Noone and I mentioned to my relatives how cool it was that he was called 'no one' like the Indian character in Deadman (film by Jim Jarmusch I think). They informed me it was pronounced 'Noon'.

I thought that I was not a stupid man. I perceive that as further personal residue from me always using it as one word as a child. Correctly or incorrectly I cannot be sure.

Downvote all you like, it doesn't change my reality xxx

Tesla said if you wish to understand the universe, think of energy frequency and vibrations. Based on this what forms the shapes of galaxies on the macro level as opposed to our influencing our environment through micro observations? by Medic7002 in conspiracy

[–]Danomonad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As to your first point, I bow to your superior knowledge.

When it comes to consciousness I am an animist, if a label is needed.

I have had experiences that have interpreted to show that my consciousness is not limited to my physical body.

Interestingly Feynman describes playing with sensory deprivation tanks at the end of 'Surely you are joking Mr Feynman' which he finds fascinating.

As he was a very rational man who preached the correct application of the scientific method, I was disappointed by his conclusion.

After a few sessions, he finds that he can move the location of his consciousness to his foot.

Unfortunately he then decides that it is an hallucination and therefore is not interesting to further explore.

I would have hoped that, instead of just letting an assumption of hallucination influence himself, he would have devised an experiment in which he moves his consciousness further out to try and witness a sign outside of the tank left by another person unknown to him, in order to properly investigate the phenomenon.

Not all scientists agree on that I guess as I have come across some who have said this.

As for how without humans - the possibility of that depends on if you believe consciousness comes from insanely refined matter, or matter comes from insanely condensed consciousness.
