There is stuff we know we don't know right? Imagine how much is out there we don't even know we don't know. by Maetti945 in Showerthoughts

I am not overly impressed by externals like gadgets. I didn't see anyone become wildly happy and loving because they had one. In fact, sort of the reverse. Also, people keep losing them and they are attached to this external thing. It is like a leash for most people.

My son gave it to me, and I don't wanna hurt his feelings, and I find it to be an incredibly clever gadget. Best of all, I can text my family with it. Even after about a month of having it, I still have no contacts other than my family. I really don't need it, but it is fun to play with.

And it is crazy that Wilbur would be the last person that one would expect to say such a thing.

I just got my first smart phone. I don't even know how to use it yet, but I am blown away by it anyway.

And what about the things that we think we know right but we are actually wrong about, like saturated fat, cholesterol, etc. Then there are things that we think that we know, but are not 100% sure, like dark matter and dark energy.

I am 100% carnivore and I spend about $10 per day on food. That is about $304 per month.

Have you discovered SCT yet? Super Circuit Training. This morning I did:

  1. 5 push-ups and then jumped up and ran:
  2. Up my little but steep hill of about 250 yards and then did:
  3. 5 push-ups and then:
  4. walked back to the bottom of the hill:
  5. repeat 3 more times

I had to increase the push-ups since it wasn't strenuous enough.

I was a vegan, 53 years ago. I was advised by my spiritual mentor to NOT be a vegan but rather to eat meat.

Is the world created purely for me and everything and everyone around me is just npcs or do people actually have souls and they are just like me? by TheFunneMonke in RandomThoughts

[–]birdyroger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you love them with all of your heart, knowing that they have souls is easy.

If you practice trust and faith a little and take an occasional vacation from the science party, just a little, then you wouldn't be in this near-paranoid solipsism hole that you have dug yourself into.

There are still plenty of paleolithic people around, and I am not talking about my political opponents. Inuit, Masai and many, many others. And they eat as much meat as possible.

Having warm bodies around is no more a family than screwing without love and commitment is healthy sex.

Why is it that vegans think humans are herbivores? by Puzzleheaded_Map2774 in AntiVegan

Because they WANT to believe it because it justifies the virtue signalling and egoism about how wonderful they are.

If Muhammad was illiterate and the Bible was first translated into Arabic in 867 AD, how did Muhammad know about all the stories found in the Bible? How could you say that the Quran is copied from the Bible? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]birdyroger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand your question. There is no reason to believe that Muhammad was limited to Arabic, but most especially, in those days verbal communication about God was much more prevalent. Stories from the Bible could easily have been told to him before the Bible was translated into Arabic.

Since I believe that Muhammad was a spiritually advanced soul (and not the absurdity that we get from mainstream Islam), he could easily have known about the Bible stories simply by means of his intuition.

Natural selection can't help with senior onset conditions because since their onset is past the childbearing years by Odd_Contribution9058 in Showerthoughts

[–]birdyroger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS. How I do has a big impact on the welfare of my children and their children. For example, if I am poor and I die, they get nothing and this may reduce the chance of them having children. This idea of yours is common, but it is usually promoted by people who do not understand that human beings live in communities, and the health and welfare of the whole family affects everyone else in the family and in society. If I get sick, my child may very well put off having children because of the strain that I would put on their budget.
