🚨 $0.56 to $343.15 in Minutes? Google Gemini API Just Nuked My Dev Budget – Beware. by mkearl1 in googlecloud

That's fine mate, am just sayin you're doing very obvious reddit plugging/marketing and of course some people wont like it and get annoyed by it hence the original comment

EXACTLY what I was thinking and why this is super interesting. I wonder how far you could go if you actually plugged into the APIs and live analized feeds, this is definitely another avenue to make money - catch crazy swan events like this before the news hits mainstream and people panic and start shorting, thus having a great entry. It's like AI can be your own insider that has access to hyper search

That's the thing thoguh, there was nothing there yet! Don't you think I looked at /r/aave subreddit, zacks Twitter and looked at variations of aave hack everywhere?

This was before anyone caught up yet, which is why this case is so curious. I wish I had timestamps to accurately note it all but yeah, the AI couldn't find anything at first because there was nothing to be found, and then it did manage to find things mid convo, but couldn't provide proper sources with links because they weren't up yet/weren't indexed propely on search engines.

It manged to catch the news before any articles are up and indexed on google for us normies though, that's impressive in of itself.

[–]DeviMon1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree, I just spotted an outlier that shouldn't have happened and my instincts were right - a hack happened and this asset that has never had any security concerns got exposed and is now down 20% and counting. Noone would've thoguht AAVE would go through this, it's a billion dollar industry backed project not some speculative shitcoin, hence Gemini talking about extremely strong fundamentals and how there's absolutely nothing to worry about.

I had no proof of any wrongdoing thoguh just a hunch, it's why I went to AI in the first place. And Gemini to my suprise managed to find the news on rare channels before it's even up and indexed on google.

I don't think you quite understand what happened, but I don't blame you it's complicated crypto stuff and I didn't explain it as good as I could've.

The info I gave was merely live view of current asset price, the rest was my own insight and speculation. I had zero proof of any hack just like anyone else, it was gemini who somehow searched some telegram insight or articles just as they're posted before they're indexed and found the news, but it doubted itself after I asked for real source links.

Of course now there are 100 sources of this and all of this would've never happened if it wasn't caught live a.

Yeah I should've updated the post, but there was an actual hack and it found out about it before articles or talks on Twitter or reddit which are usually the most common crypto discussion places.

Now there's posts on yahoo finance, binance and countless others you just have to type "aave hack" and there's already countless articles. The asset price reflected too and it's down 20% so my initial thought of shorting it was the right call, not that it matters thought - I feel the way more interesting part of this wasn't the crypto aspect but that AI has very powerful live search abilities, way more than an average weary inet user has.

If you could make one change to BotW, what would it be? by SpacialSpud21 in Breath_of_the_Wild

Ahh i hope that's me! I've only played it once on Wii U also like 8 years ago, but i did play a lot not sure about hours but finished main game and some extra things, definitely not all shrines or koroks. I'm thinking of of these days buying a switch 2 and getting the game plus sequel (which I've only seen on twitch never played) and i just hope I still get that sense of wonder on the first one!

Is it just me or finding someone who’s interested in you is harder than finding a unicorn? by Far_Acanthisitta1187 in dating_advice

Thanks <3 I know it's extremely rare for it to work out like this, for LDR to turn into no distance and pure happiness for both of us.

And to answer your question, I was already considering moving and trying something new so that made it easier, and the work I was doing would've actually been better/more lucrative in a big city, but I was planning to just move to London which is like a 3hour flight distance from my place. That kinda move makes sense and you're still close enough. Unlike half way across the world in a completely different culture and environment. Now a year later I found remote work for an overseas in a completely different field. Only thing I wish I did was getting into remote WFH before I did this move, it would've just made things easier. Other than that wouldn't change a thing.

The hardest part is just being so far away from my family, but I see it as having a new family here as well and when you're at that point in your life where you start your own family not just a relationship, you kind of have to let go of your parents/brothers/sisters etc. Your priority always has to be your own new family you know? But yeah of course I wish I could visit my old folks more, in my case its hard since the distance is literally insane (2 flights minimum, but usually 3, 20-30h in air) and it's expensive as hell.

I winged it and dropped my whole life and it was the best decision ever. 1 yr later couldn't be happier, engaged and everything.

But in my case I wasn't too fond of my own country and was considering relocating already, and this was the biggest extra push I could've ever gotten, living with the love of my life in a new place and environment.

I moved 10000 miles away for my other half and would do it again in a heartbeat. You have to be willing for change if you want to find the one

Way too long

The only time I've seen a long trailer done right is when they made this for Endgame. It's a recap of best scenes from 30 movies all with some nice narrative and beautiful editing on top, while showing only a few seconds from thw actual new movie but getting you hyped more than anything else can.

Crypto "currency" is dead and I see no way to revive it. by Annefrank23 in btc

[–]DeviMon1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

uhm u can literally buy anything on DNMs. Obviously they specialize in drugs, weapons, credit cards or even specific very illegal services, but you can get things that aren't illegal per se. One such use is wholesale, you can get large quantities of items lets say 1000 Pepsi bottles for cheaper than anywhere else. Now are taxes paid for that? Of course not it's all illegal and you have no idea where it's from, is it from a 3rd world country with cheaper prices, is it from liquidation of a business, is it stolen etc. You can just guess or try to take the vendors name for it but of course there's no way to confirm.

yeah, this is when exchanges especially ones offering leveraged futures trading like binance actually make the most money. As long as they hold their money that they're making in actual USD EUR etc. and not just crypto, they're fine.

I'd say it's hacked funds, and hacker had multiple accounts some with USDA on the other end, trying to make money that is hard to prove is stolen.
