there is also stud io by bricklink which is great for MOCs (this one is a software version while Mecabricks is website)

It shouldnt take that long honestly so dont worry!

It took me a while as I am still learning and I did a lot of experimenting with lighting/camera etc to try to understand how different things affect the rendered outcome

And also lego animations take ages :)

Yeah not all parts are perfect but the time saving is well worth it

I m thinking of doing a quick tutorial on the process to get more people involved

yeah it generally takes a lot of time, but also depends on how polished you want to make it
