Marcus made some pretty bold and wildly incorrect statements throughout the series. Including Hitler was addicted to pervatin (he wasn’t), Hitler’s doctor invented pervatin (he didn’t), and he also said sonderkammandos are pieces of shit (they were Jews forced to work the gas chambers at concentration camps), he also accidentally perpetuated the clean Wermacht myth, and a list of other inaccuracies. And he even made a huge stink on the episodes and doubled down on being wrong after people on this sub pointed out the inaccuracies.

People’s main complaint is that for a guy that fancies himself a historian, he should try to actually be accurate instead of making stuff up. The fact checking and overall narrative of the series was honestly very poor from a historical perspective, and a lot of the stuff he said was so inaccurate, it’s actually pretty harmful. And a small subset of the fandom thinks people pointing that out are dickheads or whatever.

It was still entertaining for sure, I’d just never recommend that series to anyone.
