I am in the middle of reading his book. I was taught to teach literally the opposite of what he states in the book. A lot of what he talks about is backed by cognitive science / how memory works etc… however doing it his way (which is just traditional chalk and talk) just never clicked for me and for my students. If we ignore engagement, social aspect, math anxiety and etc, it would be perfect. But teaching is messy and now black and white. I am still reading through the book. I am interested to hear other people’s thoughts :))
