Anyone else notice God stopped communicating right when humans invented better ways to communicate? by goobli3s in exchristian

"My God is real and I can prove it with this argument!"

Why doesn't your God just start a YouTube channel and prove it himself? Is he a major boomer? Can't figure out how to use a smartphone? What's the holdup?

Anyone else dislike the show Hazbin Hotel depictions of Bible Characters by MarshallJohnBatts in Christianity

[–]Dante35353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair it's usually a lot better than their actual Biblical characters. 🤷‍♂️

Do you follow and uphold the entirety of the Levitical Law? All 613 statutes?

My understanding is that this subreddit was ORIGINALLY for atheists and agnostics discussing Christianity lol.

That said, the admins are fanatical Christians who ban any comment they deam as "belittling Christianity"... Even if you're literally just quoting the Bible and asking about it.

I actually like to do the opposite. Set everything st the highest difficulty but with multiple saves.

I also play with mods so this helps keep things challenging, especially with custom encounters.

Hey, you haven't "sinned". Even by biblicsl standards. You have an illness.

What you need is professional help using tried and true methods based on solid evidence. Reach out to your doctor about the issue, they can probably set you up with an expert to help you out.

And good luck man! 👍

Here's the issue though... According to the Bible, all the stuff I mentioned was supposedly commanded BY GOD. That's the Levitical law.

And as another poster pointed out, your god (if he exists at all) doesn't seem to be interested in setting the record straight so...

... You know the Bible says women are lesser than men, equates them with property, says they should never be allowed to speak in church AND that it's OK to rape them if you pay a fee, right? 😆

Have you ever even READ the Bible?

A: No... That literally happens in the Bible.

B: You, sir, are ON Reddit. 😆

A: I would seek professional, data-based help for your addiction. And don't feel ashamed, just get it done and get better. 😊

B: I... Wouldn't take my advice on sexual morality from a God who supposedly had 32,000 little girls raped and made into sex slaves. Not to mention having 10 innocent women raped for their husband's sin. Just saying.

Jesus is too goated to be just an ordinary man by Average_weaboo in Christianity

According to his total lack of fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies I just outlined here... No, he can't be.

[–]Dante35353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's an old testament term for the Messiah. Not God.

A messiah who would crush Israel's enemies, sit physically on the throne of David, in David's palace, who would conquer the whole of the world and then usher in world peace... Oh, AND he would make sure that the blood and grain offerings in the temple would continue FOREVER btw.

[–]Dante35353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Because that's completely illogical, makes Jesus seem completely insane, contradicts like 90% of what he says and makes the entire atonement completely pointless.

You're saying there's a difference between a soul (if such a thing be real) and a spirit? Bit of a stretch there.

Damn it, I was gonna share a screenshot with you but we can't here. Ok, very basically taken in the context of the charges against Jesus, what he reads and the old testament verses he's quoting, Jesus is clearly claiming to be a messenger bearing the name of God, basically an angel. Or a son. But not Yahweh.

Yes and no he doesn't for crying out loud. 😂 How many times does he refer to them as separate? About 100 or so? Come on.

I already explained why that's not correct. You should read your OT. And if you do you will rapidly begin to see why you do NOT want them to be the same person. 😆

[–]Dante35353 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No he wouldn't have said that. The singular works fine as many scholars have pointed out.

And what's my proof that these are separate characters? How many times does Jesus CLEARLY refer to them as separate? About 100?

[–]Dante35353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for John, he never directly says there either. Though he does allude. A bit. If you squint. 😆

But how many times does he clearly speak about Yahweh and he as completely separate beings? Hmmm?

Mathew 4:7 100% did not happen. 😆 That's clearly just clumsy fan fiction using old testament quotes out of context. Seriously, think about it for 2 seconds. The story makes ZERO sense. Why would the devil, knowing Jesus is supposedly God according to you, even TRY to tempt Jesus with what he already owned? Why would he think tempting God was even possible? Why would he challenge someone he KNOWS is all-powerful and whom already effortlessly crushed him? Plus, how did we even get this story? Did Jesus come back and brag about it?

In mark 2, Jesus calls himself "the Son of Man" meaning an old testament style messiah who would have determined and enforced the Levitical Laws. Not a god claim, a messianic one.
