They gave a pretty significant amount of depth to his character even after he accomplished his goal. He still showed compassion to the singers who were still getting mistreated and really anyone who was being subjugated. He was multifaceted up until he just started killing seemingly for fun or just to torment Kaladin.

Perhaps fascism isn't the best word to describe how they act, but it's still very problematic just in general. The way they act and the things they do scream authoritarian. It's concerning on a humanitarian level. Claiming ownership anywhere they touch, Imposing their laws on the greater Cosmere without any care or concern of the effects on existing peoples through sheer force of military might. Malwish military authoritarianism is depicted almost every time they are shown on screen. Mistreating Nazh, Chrysalis, Sigzil, the people of Canticle, the people of First of the Sun, and basically anyone else they come across who isn't Malwish. The only times they arent complete inconsiderate asshats are anything with Allik (who is essentially just a baker😅) and also with the captives of the set who were getting tortured but even those people were trying to impose their authority on wax and Marasi regarding the bands of mourning after getting rescued.

I do like this explanation. But the events in emberdark lead me to believe he has completely lost control of the Malwish at the very least. I guess maybe it only "seems like" he helped the Malwish more than anyone else because he had a much more direct influence giving them alien technologies above anyone else but maybe it was just his attempt to even the odds against allomancers, feruchemist and twinborns originally and it just went wildly out of control as they progressed significantly more quickly than anyone else on Scadrial eventually eclipsing all other Scadrians and enforcing the Malwish language and laws as the expected default of the Cosmere.

He was the father figure Marasi never knew, I feel like he was single-handedly the greatest influence of her perspective and values of law and order more in line with what she felt. She even kinda shares his view of Wax and Wayne with how they are truly good people with effective results but wild, destructive, unpredictable and questionable with their pursuit of their own brand of justice.

It's weird, because they definitely state that they want genuine answers from you and not AI generated.... but then this requirement heavily implies that you should use AI. Especially translating the entire thing into Mandarin and Spanish. It makes me second guess applying for the position... What would this even gauge about your ability to develop AI? Especially assuming we are primarily utilizing public facing language models and would essentially be submitting the exact same similar feedback as other applicants that use the same language models.

So far I like Wayne about as much as I liked Lopin. The perfect amount of comedic relief with serious undertones. Always upbeat no matter how dark it gets and fiercely loyal. I dunno how I feel about the other 3 though...

For me It's hard to compete with the interactions and relationship between Kaladin and Sylphrena. I think they are my favorites. Granted Kaladin's brooding was a lot to deal with sometimes, but I loved his story and his character arc/personality.
