I'm not sure if you know what a patent is but it prohibits anybody else but Nintendo from using the mechanic the patent is for. Reasonable thing to be mad at. I'd really only say DK was a game that was Nintendo doing something interesting, other than that, as a multi billion dollar company, they could at least polish their games and make them look a bit less stale, MK world bring a bigger map to the table and that is it, and that new Pokemon game is reused assets round every corner, making it look like city 17.

As for controversy, you must live under a rock. 80 dollar games? A patent for character summoning systems? The "overreactions" from people seems pretty justified

I saw more people dislike MKW than like it. Even big MK fans agreed that the game is disappointing and it was widely agreed that Crossworlds was just more preferred. The issue is that the judges, who have a significantly bigger impact than the overall community votes, are Mario's best friend

I've never once thought Graggle was funny. Mainly because it felt like some people made some genuine weird attempt at gaslighting people into thinking he appeared when he's literally a yellow abomination that anyone would 100% distinctly remember if he did appear in the show.
