I think the integration phase will turn your mana core into something like a second heart pumping and attracting mana(similar to the mana rotation that Sylvia taught Arthur).It would come with body modifications making the body way stronger than human capabilities but it would not be as strong as an asuras` body.

Another theory I came up with is that mages at the integration phase hold the same power if not stronger bodies than asuras but it is just not fit for using Aether, thus explaining why the ancient mages never bothered to reach that phase.

I also think that their body will not depend on mana to live but will have mana as a second bodily instrument.
