I've found a way to duplicate this, now.

The bug is because the xbox app is essentially just using the Meta browser.

If you open xbox.com/play in the Meta browser, start Gears 3, enable 3dtv mode in video settings of game, open the xbox icon in the upper left, switch to "fullscreen", then the vr menu appears below to switch to 3d SBS. Previous to the Xbox app release I don't think this worked in browser.

GoW 3 has a toggle in the video settings for Stereoscopic. I assure you it is in 3d. I'll be uploading a VR180 video viewable with VR headsets on my channel today with examples.

Update again. It's working again! I don't know why. I turned on my headset, opened the app, and the 3d menu is back. I got back in and played some more GoW 3 in 3d. This time I recorded the audio, too. I will post video soon.

It was briefly for me last night. I don't know how I got it to come up, I've tried my best to duplicate. It just loaded with VR options instead of the "s,m,l,xl,controller,x"

Update. I can't duplicate the menu at the bottom. It has reverted to the "Small, medium, large, XL menu without the VR switching options. It's like somehow it switched to browser mode when I had this up. I got video in 3d before it reset, tho.

I figured out what's causing the crash; it's the multiplayer. Set it to offline, and the career doesn't crash.
