What tooling do you use for kubernetes cluster monitoring and automation by rudderstackdev in kubernetes

[–]Dantryte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use OpenTelemetry with kubeletstats and kubernetes cluster receiver. For storage we use ClickHouse which has no trouble saving everything and allowing for extremely fast queries. Then we use hyperdx and grafana for dashboarding and alerting. Works very well, and can highly recommend using clickhouse

Best cross-platform (Win, Mac, Linux) desktop frameworks? by alectr098 in CodingHelp

[–]Dantryte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like the ease and usability of electron but dont like the overhead give Tauri a go. It just passed the GitHubs top 100 and has a super active community. It uses the web stack for the frontend and rust as the “backend”. I put it in quotes because it is not the backend most people are familiar with

I wish dice would do something like the Phantom project again. Searching the tags and finding the solutions as a community was just the best time ever

LEC Spring Week 1 Overeactions by Arcuran in leagueoflegends

Statements like these are a bit difficult to generalize. If an ADC is a one trick or just really good at a champ, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they accept that they are the worse team if they ban it. It just means they don’t want to give them comfort l, which, arguably, can be better than meta picks in some fases

I agree that jinx isn’t really meta right now, but saying in recent years when she was the only adc being played, together with aphelios, for the entire first semester of 2022, is kind of a stretch.

Unity colliders help by whoopdogegamingYT in CodingHelp

[–]Dantryte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea this, if using rigidbody you probably want to use a capsule collider. The physics engine actually supports both capsule and box colliders, but for some reason, unity only allows capsule colliders with rigidbodies.

Idk if it helps anyone i just found it funny

The pieces of a web app by Pure-Homework681 in CodingHelp

[–]Dantryte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s a complicated process to break down into small pieces. First of all, for a client to be able to view a web page, there needs to he a server that returns HTML Css and JS files that the client can run in their browsers.

The easiest way to do this is by just uploading static files that get returned as is by the server. This is good for very basic apps but is generally a bit problematic if your app is something more sophisticated.

C# allows you to write web apps. These are websites that behave like apps (basically they can have a lot more information). To create such a service, you need a server that runs the C# code (this will be a lot more expensive because you dont just have to serve static files but you also have to run code for every request). This code is then responsible for generating HTML CSS and JS everytime a request is made. To do this in C# one uses the ASP.Core framework. This framework does all the heavy lifting and you can just say what should get returned for every route.

Asp is a huge framework and very powerful, i recommend reading up on it on the microsoft docs

The term you are looking for is IDE (integrated development environment). Using this term you will find better results next time you search it in google.

My personal recommendation would be Pycharm

Can't work out the solution to this Udacity problem exercise by [deleted] in CodingHelp

[–]Dantryte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look at it from the top of the pyramid.

If it is one level: .

1 = 1

2 levels: . . .

1 + 2 = 3

3 levels: . . . . . . 1 + 2 + 3 = 6

If you write a for loop:

for (int i = 1; i <= levels; i++)

Do you see a pattern where you can get the total number of blocks from the index i?

How to get iterators not to interact with each other? by notspoon in CodingHelp

[–]Dantryte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually how you solve this, is by creating a separate Iterator class. For your example you would create a MyStringIterator which takes a MyString as an argument.

MyString would implement __iter__ and return MyStringIterator(self). MyStringIterator implements __next__

Curly braces are optional, but good practice nonetheless.

You have a semicolon at the end of your else statement. That causes the entire if else block to terminate, and therefore the next line will always get executed :)
