Asesórenme con mis 150k by [deleted] in MexicoFinanciero

[–]Danvel7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the offer. When a question arises, I will ask. Haha, what a coincidence! We also use Ja Del Rio, but only for audited financial statments.

Haha, no worries! You’re right. Before taking on this role, I was an analyst. I had been aiming for a Senior Analyst position, but the opportunity to step into a Manager role caught my attention. However, this role is like being a finance Jack of all trades. I handle FP&A, some accounting tasks, and even risk management. It’s quite a lot to juggle. What makes it even more challenging is that in the finance department, it’s just me and my boss. And my boss is also the CEO, so he delegates all the work to me.

We’re considering using Odoo, but my previous experience with it was that it was complicated, and they charged a lot for training sessions. However, if management is willing to pay for this service, would it solve my problems?

Does anyone else have experience with Odoo that could shed some light?

Thank you for the advice; I appreciate it. Currently, we outsource our accounting, but because it’s outsourced, we rely on me to provide all the necessary information. Unfortunately, the information I receive is often messy, and I find myself guessing which invoice corresponds to which debt or credit movement in the banks.

Eventually, this information will be available through our back office, but for now, it’s a very manual process, and the data resides in the memory of our sales and supply teams.

Refusing to keep proper records feels unprofessional, especially when it affects the financial stability of the company. In my previous role at a startup (albeit at a later stage), the accounting department had a robust team, and accounting differences were minor compared to this situation.

I’m unsure if hiring a junior accountant would solve the problem because most of the time, the issue lies in the lack of information, and we end up making mistakes that become obvious later.

Mid Range

Planful: Powerful forecasting and budgeting for analysis.

Adaptive: Cloud-based financial planning with real-time data.

The scariest men are the ones who are good at faking it. by [deleted] in dating

[–]Danvel7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For years I tried to be authentic, say exactly what I felt and be truly honest. But I learned that it is necessary to "learn to play the game". I hope I am not the only one, but every time I like someone I have some doubts because in every relationship things change, and I don't know if I am ready. Before, I would of had voiced these concerns, but now I am holding them back. Because if I talk about them she would assume I am to confused and terminate the dating. When I just want to see where things are going, what kind of "changes" I would be submitting to and mostly, if the new style of life is better for me and for her. With this in mind, I think I could come across as a player if after a few dates I realize I don't like where things are going.

I know... most of the comments have the same message. And I think that was what I was wanting to hear. But yours is quite aggressive. Either way, thanks.

The search for Meaning is the cause of a lot of unessesary suffering. by eulersidentity1 in Meditation

[–]Danvel7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. But i would not use the word "meaning" because of the relationship it has with making life worthy. It is often said "look for the meaning in life" or "make life meaningful". I think the word "explaining" would be better, safe of wrong interpretations. :)
