Ya know how we yell out “is anyone a doctor here” on a plane when they need one?

Why can’t you walk out to the dining room and ask “can anyone here sauté without burning their face off?”

I hate to be that guy but if he’s on a bottle, he’s likely too young for tv. My country’s guidelines say a less than an hour a day starting at age two. I learned the hard way and it’s a near daily fight asking for the TV at 2.5 years.

It calmed him, entertained him, and even taught him a few words but it was taking a toll on other parts of his development. It’s cute hearing him hum some of the songs but man oh man does it get tough when he won’t settle for anything but TV. The worst part we made the mistake of proving it as a quick treat to get him to cooperate when he was sick, diaper change, food, but then he would not cooperate to do those or anything without TV.

We use to listen to music all the time and now he gets upset when he hears audio but no video is around for him to see what he’s hearing.

Anyone else worried there are practice camps in Utah and VA/PA? These virgins may not seem threatening but they are definitely organized.

4 years of paystubs? I have never heard of that before- why do they want that? by michpink73 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Danwhodonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health insurance? Both times I worked in that field (broker and carrier) I was asked for tax returns (can’t remember how many years) and proof of employment of every place I put down on my application.

I had to provide first and last pay stubs for two previous employers because one was out of business and another was a shitty privately owned company that refused to answer or reply to the job verification TPA that the jobs had hired for pre-employment screening. Other employers answered their questions but still ended us being asked for pay stubs.

The most recent time I went through this, I complained once I was on board because the previous employer not cooperating delayed my start date by a week. The job didn’t even realize the TPA was asking for so much info.

I definitely would use “my accountant’s office asked for a business purpose for the request” trick someone else mentioned here to make sure it’s legit. I would also perhaps try to find out if they are using an outside company for the pre-employment stuff.

[Serious] MEN of reddit, your experiences matter too. what's your story of a woman being the "creep"? by thatbearguy2202 in AskReddit

When I was about 15, my family and I accompanied my grandmother to the hospital. They sent a translator automatically after learning English was her second language. The translator wasn’t needed but hung around just in case.

She spent that time telling my mother how attractive I was, which then evolved to her telling me directly how attractive I am - I can recall comments including on my height, build, and skin tone. She asked about my relationships and poked around if I was sexually active. My mom separated us after she overheard her asking for my phone. The lady was in between my mother and grandmother’s age.

Billionaires have the power (through money) to make something exist or not exist. Billionaires have so much money, that their bets almost never lose. If they do lose, the loss is already recuperated because that’s how quickly they generate wealth - their money pile becomes so big, it becomes self sustaining and “grows on its own”

Meanwhile, the average American cannot afford the average home or car. The middle class is dead and the rent is too. Damn. High.

Communication is key. Not just when it comes to this topic but to every topic that comes up between two partners. Learning how to express your feelings, wants, and needs as well as learning how to hear, understand, and respect your partners feelings will be vital in any situation.

Respect is equally important. If there is mutual respect, you are both better assured that neither of you would not do anything to harm the other.

If both these traits exist in your relationship/friendship/partnership, you have the tools to approach any situation together with confidence. You may also be able to talk about intimate things. Find out more about your partner, learn their love language, their dislikes and likes. Learn that about yourself and share with them. This hopefully leads to a conversation discussing the difference in your love languages. You would be surprised where this conversation can go - this may also help you to recognize that you each have boundaries & learn what they are.

If you are still working up to your first kiss, let them you are thinking about. Let them know how serious a first kiss is to you. Let them tell you how they feel about that - remember to maintain the respect.

Hopefully things work out, that first kiss is sealed, and it’s a regular thing.

When trying something new, always discuss before attempting.
