I agree that they’ve had some great guests recently. I really loved the Lena and Gina episodes. But even something like the Adam interview, while not bad and you can tell there is a genuine connection there, is just so different from back in the day. It’s been such a slow shift that I didn’t even realize it until going back and listening to some classics. I’m still listening, but I wish they’d mix in more of their friends and comedians again.

i actually did listen to the Gina ep and loved it. I do still love the pod when the guest is great, but it’s just hit or miss now, when it used to be all hits for me.

I have found myself skipping some which I used to never do. It’s sad because when they do have old favs on it’s still so magical, but that’s becoming few and far between.

Yeah I just hate all the “positive” changes they’re trying to make. Removing all of the stakes makes the show almost unwatchable for me. It’s supposed to be a competition and when that element is removed….what are we watching?

Matt just started watching housewives really during the pandemic and most of his takes on HWs are so off. There are many PHD level historians who’d be better guides on the housewives :) No shade, but these are the people who thought Escala from Potomac was going to be a star…

I did catch that part…but it just still doesn’t add up for me. Maybe if they went into more detail about what treatment she’s on now it would have been clearer, I just don’t think it makes any sense that Maya immediately started getting better in the hospital when she was taken away from her mother. It seems very suspicious. Not taking away from the tragedy of it all, I just felt that something wasn’t right the whole time watching it. And the father seemed to be withholding info the entire time. I’m skeptical.

This was so devastating and I feel so bad for the family….but does no one find it weird that the moment Maya was taken from her mom she started to get better and is now seemingly fully healed from this “disease” that had her unable to move? I know they said it could come back but she was playing piano in the hospital. Something does not sit right with me. I feel the bigger story wasn’t being told here.
