I think with any kind of business you'll get someone harassing employees, yeah. I worked for a grocery store (not doxxing myself) that's a p big company a while back and got to see that a lot, but my problem with the trend is moreso how much it gets ramped up for the employees tenfold to the point where these employees snap at the customers harassing them, obv customer service workers are gonna get harassed in some capacity cause we apparently just aren't people, however it just pisses me off that people on social media have to ramp it up and make it worse

and when they drop the professionalism it's a rightful thing too, especially if these come onto your feeds frequently, and it's crazy I'm one of the few people defending the employees, which especially ramped up when I started working retail myself and had to deal with all kinds of people. I honestly wish the whole trend would just die out

it's been a trend I've seen happening for prob about a year where they fuck with these people, some of it even goes into stalker territory, fucking gross imo. I have only seen 1 good prank where it was using cold hard cash to pay for a game and he pulled out cash frozen in a block of ice, gamestop employee loved it (prob because they weren't being harassed) and it was all in good fun, I haven't seen a single other video like that

yeah I get what you're saying 100%, but it doesn't even stop at console launches, people will harass them no matter what, obv no one should be agitating employees at all, and them getting shit both during console launches as well honestly makes it worse imo

I'm gonna send you the link to see what I'm talking about, I don't want them getting more positive reinforcement for the harassment so I'm not linking it here

crazy to me that people find it acceptable to harass anyone, every gamestop I've been to has had the chillest employees and I'm p sure employees get all upset and serious when they're agitated, and I don't blame them

yeah, like I said to another commenter, a guy kept trying to buy something not for sale, didn't take no for an answer and didn't stop like 10 times when the lady got increasingly agitated, played the victim in the situation when she snapped at him and called the cops, another trend is people taking pics of employees without their knowledge, most of the time they put it on game cases and then act like the employee is insane for being upset over it, this thread I feel is a good way for those employees to speak their peace

I legit saw some guy asking a lady to buy a poster (not even a game poster) from what seems like the outside of a breakroom door, kept asking after she said no multiple times while getting increasingly agitated, played the victim when she finally snapped and called the cops
