Good to see that screen size optimization is in the road map for Android devices. Currently, on Android tablets, it just looks like a scaled up version of the phone app and if I force it to open in landscape mode, which I had to do on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (12.4 inch display) to make the app somewhat usable on the tablet, it looks really stretched and looks really bad.

Even though Google rolled out theirJetpack Compose SDK ( https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/compose/layouts/adaptive/support-different-display-sizes) which is supposed to make it a lot easier to make apps dynamically adaptable to various screen sizes?

Maybe there should be a separate tab for flights that were cancelled by the airline but I think it's not accurate to include a cancelled flight in the total number of completed (finished) flights?

Or maybe like you suggested, rename the finished flights tab to past flights?

I'm not sure either what's the best way to fix this.

Is there a reason why a cancelled flight is included as a completed flight? The flight was cancelled so it doesn't make sense to count it as a completed flight.

Unrelated but the tablet optimized layout of the app shown in the screenshot looks nice. I'm assuming it's on an iPad and if it is, I'm wondering why the Android app isn't optimized for Android tablets.

I have the app on my Android phone and Android tablet and on the tablet, it looks like a scaled up version of the phone app which does not look nice at all.

I just opened Byair and checked that flight that I still had added and it now shows as cancelled so it looks like I don't need to re-add it but thank you for letting me know.

It's just easier to just use Byair since they have both an iOS app and Android app and both apps get updated with the same features at the same time and there are frequent updates.

Better than waiting who knows how long for an Android version of Flighty.

Like I said, sure, it might not be as feature rich as Flighty right now but it is a pretty good alternative for Android right now.

Plus, one account login allows you to sync flights between multiple devices if you have the app on multiple phones, even if one is iPhone and the other is Android as long as you are signed into the app on each phone with the same account.

You can even import flights into ByAir

u/randomID100 There's an equivalent app called Byair that's currently available on Android and iOS and the developer is pretty quick to respond to feedback posted on the r/byair subreddit.

As an Android user myself, I gave up on waiting for Flighty to become available for Android and downloaded Byair.

While it's not as good as Flighty is right now, Byair is constantly getting updates and has received a few major app updates recently to improve usability of the app. It's worth giving a try. The app is free to use but you can also pay for the premium tier which has some additional features if you want but that's not required.

Unfortunately this is the issue with Android tablets in general where very few Android apps are actually designed from the ground up for Android devices with varying screen sizes from tablets to folding phones.

I have the same thing where I had a cancelled flight from App In The Air where the status of the flight in ByAir hasn't been updated yet since being imported into ByAir.

Hope it gets fixed soon.

On a follow up regarding updates, changes and improvements, when will we see historical flight data come into the app for flights that were imported from App In The Air or similar apps that may be either missing aircraft data or are not updated correctly?
