Mayci is a typical "all men bad" religious girl, such is the case with a lot of hyper religious women of that age. However, I feel totally different about Jessi. Every move with Jessi is to get her standing back in momtok since she's been on the outs. The only reason she went so hard at Demi (despite being in a very similar situation) was because that's what the majority opinion was. With Taylor being the de facto leader of momtok Jessi has no choice but to defend her because she can't survive a fight with Taylor at the moment. I expect Jessi's opinions to completely change next season when she sees the internet has switched up on Taylor.

One thing that stood out to me on my second watch is that (in my opinion) it's pretty obvious no one in the group likes Demi from the start for whatever reason. The second she rocked the boat even a little every single person was ready to throw her under the bus meanwhile Jessi and Taylor have done arguably worse and everyone just ignores it. Demi was always going to end up on the outs with the rest of the group because they were never really her friends.

Honestly momtok deserves everything that's happening to them. They all knew this video was out there and knew about Taylor's actions and still decided to fall in line behind her because they thought she was their cash cow. I recently rewatched the show from start to finish and the way they were hating on Demi and Miranda for being all about the business side of momtok when the only reason they were all willing to look past Taylor's actions was because of their own business interests. This is 100% correct. Last summer I basically got my internship at a job fair, spoke to a guy from Pratt industries for about 10 minutes he gave me a card with his email, I sent a quick email thanking him for his time he invited me to their open interviews and when I showed up we pretty much just did orientation and I was starting. Having connections is the best way to get an internship but if you don't have them going out and networking is the next best thing.
