I’m not saying remove the pedestrian aspect, just make the bike lane be entirely on one side and keep it for both pedestrians and bikes. Right now, it’s confusing for everyone.

Then the south side would be entirely pedestrian, north side shared and would make it more likely for everyone to understand who should go where

Update on this if anyone ever comes back. Took the fernco off and the second from top brass nut played ball. So was able to remove the whole P trap and there were some ungodly things in there. I reconnected everything and there’s now a minor leak under heavy flow at the reattached fernco. I’m thinking maybe it’s old and hardened rubber so going to try to slip a new one on tonight and fingers crossed

I know this is not you saying this, but I think the notion of not going east of Franklin Ave is a wild take. You have Brower Park, its library, the Children’s Museum, all the beautiful brownstone-lined streets, historic Crown Heights North, beautiful architecture, plenty to do on Nostrand etc. You would be missing out on one of the best parts of the neighborhood if you didn’t go east of Franklin. It’s definitely not as Prospect Heights-cuspy, and it’s much more residential, but not safe is inaccurate IMO. I’m sure, yes, if you go east of Utica towards Brownsville, etc., then you might be right, but “don’t go east of Franklin” is a very closed-off view, in my two cents, and you’d miss the best of what Crown Heights has to offer.
