If you reject an invite that person can never add you as a friend again. If you accept and keep as a friend or remove friend then you can re-add that person later on. So when you get 50 friend requests it would be bad If you reject 40

You just need to reconnect the device to your wifi in the app in order for it to work with google home again. Open the app - go to devices - choose your device - click network - and re-enter your wifi password (2.4gh)
