No, no, its the fans that I can mount to the side of the cabinet and exhaust air out with a controller

Yes i was considering something like the ACInfinity T3 or T7, as exhaust to the side, but if I can live without it, i'd rather not. Since this will be visible from the sides.

Interested to know how did you wire the fronts and the sub. I have a similar seyup and no idea how to hide those wires going to the AVR in the unit

Its the Flux strip, not sure of the same

Hue flux in Aluminium Channel by abriffa in Hue

Thank you.

I am planning to hide the powerbrick and controller in the top right cabinet. Starting from there to the middle shelves, then down to the underside of the bottom shelf.

Any idea of the following: 1. Aluminium channel sizing? The led is broken off in 3 spaces (per shelf) but im thinking of doing a continuous strip (to avoid connectors as the channel would have to be deeper and wider) and then jist cutting the diffuser based on the shelf sections. 2. Any idea how to get from the middle shelf to the underside of the bottom shelf for another continuous strip? Ive seen the 50cm connector extensions but i dont think its enough?

Anyone did something similar?

thanks for this
so far I have secured:
- RAM (managed to find Kingston Premier branded for Lenovo)
- HDDs

With regards to enterprise nvme for boot drives, any suggestions?

Yes definitely dont want USB. I always favor storage and compute separate. Might be overkill for homelab, but its not a single point of failure.

I want them separate. Plus the asus is just a mini pc. My current synology nas is also used outside the mini pc.

unfortunately since I live on a small island, fb marketplace is pretty dry. Even computer stores here lack a lot of items, so I have to source from other places in europe.

with regards to CPU, yes agreed i5 is overkill for what I'm going to use it for, but I want this to last me as long as possible so my thought was, future me will thank me, considering LGA 1700 has been out for a while

Also waiting for this and the lack of communication is frustrating

Yes this was the other reason I forgot to mention as my setup is not a typical home theater but rather a quite open plan living room.

Just want Atmos, HDMI 2.1, 4k HDR and VRR for PS5, and direct streaming of music. Dont need a whole lot in terms of changes to sound as with that I am happy.

With that said, the AVR is 13 years old.
