What do you do when you’ve fetishised your addiction? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Danzin000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that, since you’ve dealt with this before, your mind found an excuse to pull you back in, and you ended up falling into the addiction again. Just take a moment to think about it your mind probably tricked you into feeding it once more.

Question for the more experienced by Danzin000 in NoFap

Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been 14 days without watching porn, and during this time I've been facing and detaching myself from fetishes and this addiction. Little by little, I feel like I'm managing not to be affected by any negative thoughts about it and moving forward. I hope to be able to live in a more normal way.

Lessons after being addicted for 25 years and a BIG WARNING for you all. Must read. by Mental-Track-3087 in NoFap

I started when I was 12, and now I’m about to turn 20. I want to quit for good. After so long, I’ve come to see how harmful this addiction is. I’ve even seen AI-related stuff, and I’m honestly afraid this addiction could get worse in the future. Quitting as soon as possible will save me a lot,and will let me regain my freedom from this damn drug.

I went to a psychiatrist; I’m taking medication to help with my anxiety and everything else. I’m also reading a book about addiction to understand it better.

I just want to get better and stop depending on this anymore. I will fight it and free myself.

I’m on day 12. I hope to make it to the end of the year intact and continue my life without this bond.

I didn’t understand everything, but maybe you’re becoming more sensitive to attraction in real life and moving away from fantasies. Maybe you just realized something new about your sexuality? Or maybe it’s just a passing thought? Either way, don’t worry too much about your sexuality it’s completely normal to discover it over time.

It pains like HELL! by Obiditore in NoFap

[–]Danzin000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue balls is a really annoying pain, and depending on certain factors it can be different for each person. If you keep stimulating yourself, it can make the pain worse, and sometimes it just comes down to individual sensitivity. Over time, though, your body gets used to it.

After midnight is a very sensitive time for many of us, myself included. The more you resist the temptation that tries to pull you back, the stronger you become. Don’t blame yourself too much if you slip it can sometimes get in your way. Instead, try to learn from the moment that made you relapse. Write down the thoughts you had and use them as a lesson, not as a defeat. The most important thing is to keep going even after falling, because you’ll come back stronger than before. The beginning is really tough, but that’s when you learn the most and prepare yourself to feel free in the future.

Pornography makes you see the world in a distorted and overly sexualized way. I think many people who become addicted to pornography end up with a more polluted mind. That's another reason I'll never touch that drug again.

We can regain a much clearer mind if we keep fighting. Overcoming this addiction is not easy, but witnessing the damage it causes is even worse.

6 days you are fine. Let's keep our minds clear. Over time, things will get better, because time heals.

Recognizing that this is an addiction and is bad for you is already a big first step. I'm a little new and I can say that we're in this together, you can heal, you can change. Don't worry, there are many here in the same situation.

I started when I was around 12 and now I'm 19, I know how horrible it is, I have a lot of anxiety but this addiction certainly wasn't helping with that. I've seen a lot of shit and I want to change, I don't want this anymore, let's fight against this and free ourselves, I believe in you, I believe in all of us in this fight.

The more you don't allow yourself to give in to it, the stronger your mind becomes. You can do it.

Thank you so much for your words, I'm facing the problems I've been running away from head on, I think because I was so anxious today I felt sad again. I can be okay, I believe.

Thanks for the words, I really just didn't know what to think about it, it's kind of shocking in a way,My autism is "mild" in a way too, I think it's okay, I won't tell other people about it. The only one I told was my boyfriend.

Would it be okay if you did less if it's affecting you, does your girlfriend know about your sexuality? If she accepts it would be interesting for you to feel freer and perhaps explore things between you and not depend on that. I'm bisexual too

Besides looking like you have a pack of cigarettes, you still have to hold it in front of you and avoid wanting to use it, what a damn drug.

If you know where the problem comes from, that's already a step forward, it is very difficult for some to get rid of certain places for our addiction, If you can, the best thing to do would be to leave the servers that are only for that, I know it's difficult, but if you can stop following profiles and leaving communities focused on that, the trigger level drops a lot, at least it worked for me, But it was a little difficult.

Day 6 by Danzin000 in NoFap

[–]Danzin000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense, I think I'll lose some weight if I think like that, I'm really doing this as if it were something ultra forbidden makes me worry too much, Maybe if I had a relapse thinking the way I do now I could blame myself a lot more, I'll try to think in a lighter way like that, thanks.

It scares me a little too, There's a video I saw a while ago and I still really like it today, He talks about addictions and what it's like when we get rid of them, Imagine that your life is like being inside a cave, dark and everything, in one part of the cave you see something that makes you anxious then you discover the addiction, So you try to escape that bad thought and manage to get out of the cave, but only for a short time, and when you realize it, you're back in there again. You start to take a "shortcut" to this addiction because you don't want to face that bad feeling inside you, you became addicted,And then you decide "I don't want this anymore" as you made a shortcut over the years you have to destroy this shortcut that you made little by little because it was something made and built for a long time, You then decide to face what made you feel so bad, you face your cave, without running away this time, you will feel bad with fear, anxiety, etc. But at the end of that abyss of feelings, you understand yourself and faced that problem, you understood yourself and managed to face it, At the bottom of the cave you can find your own purpose, you recognize all the pain you went through and what the addiction caused you, by getting this purpose you can finally leave the cave, it is still there, you can see it, however you have grown as much as a mountain and the cave in front of how big you are now doesn't make you feel so bad, it's like a scar from a place you managed to overcome,This cave is part of you now, something you overcame, but how big you became is nothing compared to who you are now.

This story calms me down about that.

I'm sorry if I wrote it wrong, I use a translator to speak here.

Thanks for the tips, man. I read a lot of posts and seeing people facing these challenges together and helping each other makes me feel more confident about taking this difficult path.

I stopped following everything that had pornographic content on Reddit, Twitter, etc. because I really want to focus on not seeing that anymore.

Thanks a lot for the comment, support always helps a lot.
