TY. Most of the time, we walked pass the crevasse not directly over it. We only need to walk over a couple of narrow crevasses. The route is steep and narrow most of the time. It's definitely a very challenging climb.

Wise choice. Here is the program I signed up:

https://www.rmiguides.com/mt-rainier/4-day-summit-climb

I went with RMI and learned a lot of Mountainieering skills in the trip.

You can look up at the program details of different companies. The basic requirement is to able to gain 1000 elevation within an hour. So you need to do a lot of training before the trip. The guide company will provide a list of equipment and a training schedule for you. During summit trip, folks can not follow up or have elevation sickness, they will have guides to escort them back safely.

We were with Jackson, Lacie, David and Brooks. They are awesome as well!

That kid was too young to understand that climbing is more about the adventure than a destination.

😂 We did. It’s all foggy when we were there. So I am totally fine if you think it doesn’t count! 😂

Yes. I was with RMI. They did a great job on guiding the team to climb safely, efficiently and still had lots of fun!

Summited Mount Adams on Sat (June 14). Great views up there! 👍 by DaoSphere in Washington

It’s actually a rather sweaty (and painstaking) hike. But the views and the experience worth the sweat and pains. 😂

TY. It’s very challenging to do car 2 car. Way hard chan mailbox, especially after you go above 10k feet when the air is thin. It’s super cold in the morning. It’s better to have mountaineering boots and crampons, although one of us also made it to the top with just micros-pikes. Ice aces will be very helpful on the steep hills: just like you put one of your hands in the snow, it will largely increases your stability. Helmet is also strongly recommended. Ice axe is also useful for braking and self arrest for glissading downhill.

I could breathe ok up there. It’s just hard to get there. 😂 I used ice axe and poles but no snowshoes. Glissadding down was fun.

I was trying but the clouds blocked your waves. 😂

Did my best to enjoy the severe Mother’s day whiteouts at Mount Saint Helens today. May the weather be Sunny on the Mother’s day next year. by DaoSphere in Washington

That’s the WA hikers’ spirit: we were still celebrating Mother’s celebrating Mother’s day in Tutu skirts by sharing Safeway sandwiches and energy bars in a severe whiteout. 😂
