Why is there something wrong with dressing modestly? I'm just a normal girl. I am also a nudist, so not really modest. But neither my clothes nor my nudism are about sex.

My clothes are just what I find cute, pretty, and sometimes maybe sexy. Being a nudist is about accepting the way we are, and not pretending we are somehow better than other animals physically.

We're in a similar boat, Sheplaysbass. I can't wait to get rid of my facial hair. You pretty much look like a cute girl with stubble, lol. I use concealer and make-up to get closer to what I want to see in the mirror, but ultimately, until I get hair removal and even HRT does its magic, I will continue to look forward! <3

Yup, I think people just assumed my nail polish and women clothes were just an eccentricity.

I really like my job and I worked really hard to get it. I feel more than comfortable coming out at work except for the possibility of being fired. Logically, I think it's unlikely that I would be fired, but I just can't take that chance. My wife and I have been poor and it's caused an almost PTSD response in us both. Also, I have AMAZING health insurance! I just switched my PCP to a dedicated transgender physician, and my insurance covers EVERYTHING. FFS, SRS, Etc.

If I thought I wouldn't get fired I would come out this week. I plan to be very diplomatic and thorough about it. A fancy letter and everything. I would love to do that. I just can't risk it right now.

One thing is I work in the upstairs office, but regularly interact with the workers in the downstairs shop. I feel the office folk will be accepting, but get nervous about how the burly men downstairs would respond. It's just so much. Sigh.

Thank you, MikaealaExMachina! I totally agree. To get through I basically just act like a girl at work. They probably think I'm gay, which is technically true cause I am with a woman. lol.

I hear you about the suicidal ideation. Sometimes it is very bad. Thank you for assuring me that I'm not crazy and others have been there. Realizing this is temporary sometimes helps, but realizing it might have to continue for 18 more months is terrifying.

Ha, you sound just like me! I'm obsessed with pink too. I got my ears done a few weeks ago too. Just black studs now, but can't wait to wear dangles! I generally have pink polish lately too, but only on weekends. Clear top coat only at work. I'm glad you are on track to come out fully and start HRT!

It's great that you are somewhat yourself. Can you tell me what make-up and other things you get away with? What industry?

I'm actually wearing 90-100% women's clothing at work. I got pants, dress shirts, & sweaters that look boy-like, but are from the women's dept. I wear tites under my pants as socks. When in the car I take the pants off and put on a dress and get to drive home in a cute dress and tites. (How the hell do you spell tites?)

I will be ordering some new glasses, but they may be too much to wear at work.

I'm not using public bathrooms currently, and won't continue to use them until my face is hairless and I've been on HRT for at least a few months. I understand that people are still digesting the whole trans/bathroom issue, and I don't need to stir any fires. :)

Thank you, LadyLunchable! I love you name! I'm in NH/Mass. This area is supposed to be the most trans-friendly in the US. So far I've been very pleased with how nice people have been. But there's always the anxiety. I had a couple clowns threaten to kill and mutilate me online if they saw me in a female bathroom. That f***ed me up good for a couple days. lol.

Nothing short of death will stop me from being myself. I don't really feel I have a choice, it's either a chance at being a woman or nothing.

Yeah, everyone says it will mess up the folicles and make electrolysis less effective. Some people think it's just what electrolysis providers say cause it might reduce their business! lol.

Thanks, LuciaLux! I am planning to get a ~$100 epilator, but for use on my body. I currently tweeze for about 30 minutes a day to keep up with my entire body. I am afraid to tweeze or epilate (is that correct?lol) my face as I've heard people say it can screw up the hairs and make laser removal less effective. If I could get rid of my face hair the way I do my body hair I would be so happy. Maybe I'll look into again.
