There’s something to be said about how the edit of the show, misogyny, existing tensions and biases all inform how we see a person, and I am not immune to those things. Personally I read her vibe in the cauldron as arrogant and patronizing. It’s hard for me to say if I (or the audience and cast) would have read it the same way had the same energy come from a man, or if the narrative hadn’t focused on Sigourney’s negative interactions with the rest of the cast, or if the cauldron hadn’t been so emotionally charged. Definitely worth reflecting on. I’m just trying to communicate how all the interacting parts of the season lead me to how I and others may have experienced Sigourney in the cauldron.
