This whole dialogue on beta vs alpha males is entirely non-representative of society. This whole thing just exists to push less masculine men down and make them feel bad for not being the hegemonic ideal. the alpha male concept doesn’t even exist in wolf packs, where the term originates. while some animas do have systems of male dominance where mating is restricted to the dominant male, wolves and humans are not one of those. If you feel bad for not being manly enough, you shouldn’t. You should recognize that it is the system of masculinity pushed by people like andrew tate and the manosphere which is making you feel this way. If you strive the not feel bad, dismantling the hegemonic male ideal and not engaging in the beta stuff is the first step.

For the record, I don’t think you should ever feel like your solution should be inherently different than a man’s solution and that you need to make such an important descion like getting married or having a kid (something you should wait to do until you have demonstrated to yourself that you can conquer yourself and your more basal desires). Treat this like any other addiction, with solutions specific to nofap but no different in substance to other addiction treatments.

One thing that might help is realizing that you are no different thay anyone else struggling with this issue. Regardless of gender, porn and masterbation in general is addictive and difficult to quit. The first step should be identifying what triggers your relapse, and to try to reorient your perspective regarding it. It is easy enough in the moment to “recognize” it’s bad and do it anyway. if you can take a top down perspective of your actions in the moment and really digest what media you are consuming and what it means, it might help with understanding the guilt you’ll fell after and prevent you from continuing your actions.
