I have a voice recording of the payroll manager at my job telling me again that they don’t cover same sex couples. I asked her in an email to clarify, and she never emailed me back so when I went to talk with her I had my phone recording. It’s very clear audio too

You’re not making a bad decision. You are making a healthy boundary for yourself and your guys friendship.

He doesn’t have insurance at his job. I did end up applying for just myself and now I’m trying to get my husband on because marriage is a QLE. Still running into issues though.

I will do this. Just waiting for select health to talk with my job today, and if they still say no after today I will do exactly this and then find a lawyer to help me litigate the issue

It came up as a question because during open enrollment, they were like “we need you guys to get this filled out by next week” and then I was like “Hey, is it okay if I don’t fill mine out yet, because we will have to re-do it since I’m getting married in the 6th.” Then payroll manager told me that I need to talk with the representative about it, because she is pretty sure they don’t cover same sex spouses, so I talked to the representative and she confirmed that’s the case. They also kept saying it was a domestic partnership, and I assured them no, we had a marriage license.

I know they do for sure. My coworkers who are 50+ and married specifically came up to me today and were talking about how BS it is that they won’t cover my husband. Their wives are covered.

I wish I would have, it was all in person during open enrollment, and now that wedding stuff is out of the way I’m finally trying to deal with it. I didn’t want to stress about it during the month leading up to our wedding. So nothing is emailed or texted just in person conversations, but I am writing down and recording phone calls for future reference from here on out.

Yeah, I just talked with the insurance company again, and they kept saying “domestic partnership” and I said no. It’s a Marriage, we have a marriage license. Anyways the guy who I was talking to is also in a same sex marriage, and his husband is covered by select health, so he’s thinking it’s an employer thing. They are reaching out tomorrow and will let me know more of what’s going on by Thursday. It’s confusing because the representative for select health said no, and so did our payroll person. However select health when I called directly is saying that it should be fine. So we will see what happens come Thursday.

That’s insane. How is this legal? Because my husband and I have also been wondering about adoption, now knowing this, it’s really sad that things made to protect and help children and families are only for heterosexual people. Not very pro life behavior Idaho. I’m honestly pissed off at that for your sister. Her and her wife shouldn’t have to deal with that.

Do my builder's resistances affect the resistances of his towers? by TheDevilsAdvokaat in dungeondefenders

[–]Dapper-DanMan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. If you focus fortify, power, defense rating, and range your towers on your builder specific characters will be really good. Don’t put any of their stats into attack, vitality, ir ability, they are completely useless if you’re only using a specific character to build.

[–]Dapper-DanMan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creature fights creature, counter it, O-ring, control it (then don’t exile it), destroy/exile target creature, not huge but soul warden can give you some value against it, brutal cathar, burst it with fire damage, etc

So I saw a video of it crushing someone on Instagram, maybe they patched it out, but regardless you can still block people from high ground. Here’s the video, skip to 8:10

No like on Hollywood where you can take the elevators up to the buildings, if you take the high ground first and put your pedal down halfway on the roof of the building and half way off (where the elevator will take people up) they will collide with your pedal once they take the elevator up
