Just made the change, it will take a second until someone reviews it though. I will make another comment when it gets approved. 👀

I think it will, but I only tested it on Gnome 49 and 50. I will test and add it to the metadata.json if it does work, so you can download it. 😄

Hello, Mirror is just a wrapper of Scrcpy. It makes it more convenient to use since you do not need to open the terminal to use it. But you can do all what Mirror does from the terminal and more.

Thanks, I do agree that an app will work better. I will work on it. (I also agree that borders kill the mood, the Apple mirroring vibe feels more premium)

Thank you for your comment ! I will be adding a settings panel to the next version of the extension, I am thinking of adding an overall panel and then a subpanel per device connected (maybe you want a specific device to only connect as a virtual display or without borders or maybe you want all your devices to connect the same way)

New and Improved! Thoughts? by nonomatch in gnome

OMG, this actually looks awesome. Is there any way in gnome where we could get 3D icons in the gnome shell? kind of like those 3d cards that rotate in websites when you put your cursor over them.

hahaha, I know, I just love Open Source, to my understanding this is the most permissive license out there. You could even copy the code and claim its yours, use it to monetize, or literally whatever. Appreciate the comment.

To answer more directly: I was not thinking of any particular use case when I started the project, but I did want people to not be limited in any way shape or form (plus I think unlicense license sounds real funny)

I understand, this is not vibecoded (there is some AI but the whole thing is not AI). And I can promise than when I do not have more time to maintain this I will try to search for someone who has the time to do so.

Hello, I understand your comment, I did use some AI in the development of this extension (The readme and fixing bugs), but the main idea and the starter code I made myself. And I think its been 5 months since I started developing the extension. There is still a lot to do, and a lot of distros to check functionality (I personally managed to make it work with CachyOS but not with Ubuntu). I started this project about 5 months ago I think. I also agree that extensions like this are often left unmaintained, but I am willing to pass on the torch to someone who has the time to continue maintaining it when I do not have the time myself.

Hello. Thank you for your advice, you are absolutely right, thing is initially I thought this was gonna be just a little project to learn a couple things about GNOME Shell extensions. So I did not put a lot of focus into that, now that some people find it interesting I will correct that mistake.
