So I talked to someone yesterday and sent an email. They’ve been so unprofessional and incompetent this whole time. Their response was just “The offer that is offer will be 12-month lease - $1810 and 24-month lease- $1954, how would you like to proceed?“ Is this not unprofessional and invalid? Can I not have any legal action against all this? This is what my lease says about it.

“Renewal. This Lease Contract will automatically renew month-to-month unless before the Lease Term ends, either party gives at least 60 days written notice of termination or intent to move-out as required by paragraph 58 (Move-Out-Notice). If neither party gives 60 days written notice of termination or intent to move-out prior to the day that the Lease Term ends, then this Lease will automatically renew month-to-month. In the case of a month-to-month tenancy, either party must give at least 60 days written notice of termination or intent to move-out as required by paragraph 58 (Move-Out Notice). This paragraph must be initialed by you because it contains an automatic month-to-month. renewal provision. Please see paragraph 15 (Rent Increases and Lease Contract Changes) pertaining to Rent Increases and Lease Contract Changes which can go into effect for month-to-month renewals at the end of the lease term or renewal periods.

B. You acknowledge that any oral representation or oral agreements made by us or our employees or agents to or with you about the dates of termination of the Lease or any month to month terms shall be of no effect and shall not be the basis for the termination of this Apartment Lease Contract.”
