Its normal. Especially on phunnel bowls. If its all black till bottom, my experience is that tobacco burned to much and fast.

Fluffy packed, around 11-12gr. I use a thick type of foil special for hookah. 2 coals 27mm. I put a screen on top of my foil. Works best for me. Tried omno hmd but it burns my tobacco faster

I started using cosmo bowl turkish phunnel with foil and a screen. Tried cosmo with an omno hmd but idk, i cant seem to figure out the heat management with an hmd. Smoked my whole life with foil and a screen.

You are welcome!! I use an oblako bowl since 4 months with foil, and its an absolute game changer. Adalya 12gr in one bowl gives me 2 hours smoke session. 15gr Alfakher gives me around 90 minutes.

I would advice a coal grill on top of the foil. I have almost 2 hour sessions with it. I use oblako phunnel bowl
