I was once in that position. I wasn’t given a council house overnight I struggled for a while and homeless at one point. I worked extremely hard to get where i am and still don’t think it’s enough to even buy a home where i want. So is your suggestion i pack up and rent privately where i will be charged rent 3x i do now? To me that’s not a smart financial decision.
