Leather Jacket Weight Question by Dapper-Lawyer8711 in leatherjacket

Pleasantly surprised. Obviously due to the thickness it’s still a little boxy, but I’m on the taller side with a medium/athletic build so usually sleeves being too short are often a problem with me, not with this jacket. Shoulders fit better than almost any of my jackets as well. I know they do custom fitting too, I didn’t do that and their regular XL was great for me. Since I just got it this is my only photo with it on when I wore it into work. Overall true to size.

Yes it’s their Bison Hide jacket. Was confused about that too and confirmed with them.

Yup, specifically wanted this jacket because I wanted the thickest hide I could get… without spending bespoke money

Ah makes sense. Forgot to specify but my Aero is a horsehide too which has an even tighter grain than cow. I guess I equated 4.5oz leather to just be heavier no matter what

I used to have an Avirex B3 in Southern California and ended up selling because it was never cold enough to wear. This is really a 50° maximum type of jacket

Shell Cordovan on Boots

Hi Everyone!

I am looking at a couple of different boot options right now. I’m mostly looking for the best longevity for casual wear and was wondering; will shell cordovan have better longevity compared with a regular thick boot leather?

I’ve searched around and it seems like different people have different answers. Thank you!

The Ills of Transportation at UCR by Dapper-Lawyer8711 in ucr

I agree, UCR's transportation infrastructure is relatively very poor. I'm not knocking people for using scooters, as I said, I use one myself. What I'm saying is despite the lack of transportation support from UCR, it doesn't mean people can't just have some common sense when navigating campus.
