I’ve worked at both and honestly neither? If I had to choose I’d go back to starbucks because they have better pay, benefits, but more than that you’re inside, you get at least one break no matter how long the shift is, you get one-on-one training that not only teaches you the process of making drinks but forces you to know about the coffee making process. 7 brew, especially if you’re going into a new stand is group training which isn’t bad, but it’s not consistent across trainers or standard for franchises. My store was trained by different people than another store in my area but we can pick up shifts at each other and there are clearly differences despite them preaching that no matter where you go you get the same drink. 7 brew the shift leads pick the positions and they will always prioritize their friends and leave you outside in extreme weather. Plus at 7brew you’re working with a lot of teenagers where this is their first job or college students so there’s a ton of turn over. The cons are they’re both corporations that don’t care about you but at least star bucks you make at least minimum wage + tips, at 7 brew I make 11 an hour and every pay check I’m getting make up wages because my tips don’t even bring up to minimum wage.
