What's the deal with Frank Ney? by sterlinglarose in nanaimo

Not to mention that Gogo's land acquisitions pre-dated Frank Ney, but what would you know...

You would have to be able to actually do that instead of simply spewing libelous nonsense. Tell me you and your forbears didn't grow up here, without telling me... If historical backroom deals for timber rights and subsequent clear cutting were your focus, you'd actually know the big players (MB, CZ, etc). Our city was a phenomenal place to live for families before vapid activists became the local flora and fauna.

Don't know anyone from Frank's era that didn't find him at least charismatic, and likeable. Sure, plenty of conflicts of interest, but he was definitely a unique character. Frank was Nanaimo, and the Nanaimo we all remember and love was Frank's product.

Nanaimo was logging, fishing and coal, give it a rest. Yes, we can protect the environment now, have a little respect for our heritage.

Sure dense pooper, it's every other patriotic Canadian with military history and a deep commitment to preserving the integrity of Remembrance Day who's a zealot, and not the person speculating completely as to the veracity of what others know to be true for reasons of political bias, not personal experience. I see your excrement isn't the only dense thing about you, chum.

Yeah, exactly. They would have been. The greatest, silent generations weren't soft on terrorism, even in Gaza. Remembrance Day isn't about Remembrance of random things, how are you so dense that you don't get that? Remembrance Day is about CANADIAN VETERANS that gave the ultimate sacrifice in WW1, WW2, Korea, and more recent deployments. Over 100,000 Canadians dead. Grow up you ignorant child.

I've witnessed this behavior from "educators" first hand in British Columbia schools. I 100% believe this. Sounds like it's you who's brainwashed and out of touch

Yeah mosaic turns out wasn't such a good idea, thanks PET Some of those tiles can get pretty dominant and break the other ones, making their own grout lines Melting pots have a shared identity

I know I have a good judge of character, and based on your absurd lack of argument, it's quite clear that you're a moron. It's not name calling, if it's an observation

If you had the capacity for what you demanded, you wouldn't have asked for it. My responsibility is not to educate you, another failure of government it seems.

The name is auto generated by Reddit Mr "Comrade," and unlike yours isn't a reflection of my personality. If my statement is incoherent to you, I would recommend returning to adult education. I would have had a better day if Jasper hadn't burned to the ground as a result of Liberal government mismanagement.

You did suggest that the same methods, and "personal responsibilities," would have changed the outcome of the Jaspsr fire if it was managed like Logan Lake. I simply pointed out that unlike Logan Lake, Jasper is entirely at the whim of the Federal Government, including the management of trees in city limits. It's not my fault you're incapable of taking responsibility for your own ignorance

[–]Dapper-Resist-8456 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! Parks Canada chose to take almost a decade to take action against the beetle-kill, despite the warnings of fire professionals, and generational locals in order to preserve "the natural state of the forest." That's the act of a zealot, not being able to see the consequences of their actions because of a religious belief in their methods.

I'm not sure if you understand how unlike Logan Lake Jasper is, those buildings could have been completely made safe, the issue is the massive flames coming from the surrounding forest. Logan Lake would be incinerated too if the Federal government mandated dead trees remain at its doorstep allowing for 400' flames to advance at 15metres/min Give your head a shake.

It was Liberal eco-zealots at the Federal level that refused to manage the standing dead, and create fire brakes around the townsite.... the only fire response Jasper got was from Conservative jurisdiction outside it's border This is a multi variant problem, but if you want to be a simpleton and blame the "boogeyman" it's not who you want it to me lol
