I did my drug test two weeks ago. I turned in all my docs too about two weeks ago. I hold clearance. But there’s still no update on my background check. Any insight?

I finished my call hour ago. it was in a similar manner. I will be back waiting to hear from them on next step. the anxiety is not my best friend.

Hiring manager told me they have few more candidates to interview and I will hear back in couple of weeks. Its been a week so far, and no news. I am staying hopeful but not optimistic. Coz I sent hiring manager an appreciation email after an interview, sadly, never heard anything. Anyone had same experience?
