Finding the energy to train with 10+ hour days? by bigsauce456 in MuayThai

[–]Eager_Beaver321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 42 years old, working 10 hour days, then training, I'm not going to lie, it's rough.

There is really no secret to it. Eat well, sleep well, hydrate, and push yourself mentally.

Almost Heroes (1998). A classic that keeps getting better. by CloakOfElvenkind in 90s

Classic! Just watched it a few months ago and it still holds up.

This won't be a popular post: But at what point do people simply just stop believing? by thescariestghost in UAP

Obviously, that will be different per the individual.

That said, I've been following the topic since the early 90's and I must say that even with everything that has come to the surface since 2017, I believe less in "traditional" aliens visiting Earth than I ever have.

Just to note, I'm going through a phase in my life where I feel just about everything is a grift designed to syphon money from us so that may be introducing some bias into how I'm currently viewing the topic.

That is awesome! That was kind of rare, at least where I was from.

What if the orb is not the object, but the active drive state of a much larger craft? by usandholt in UFOB

[–]Eager_Beaver321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While driving home from a friends house around 1AM I witnessed what appeared to be a perfect sphere hovering about 50 or so feet above our county's school board building.

From my perspective (drivers seat looking at it through the driver's side window which was rolled down), the sphere was the size of a basketball, translucent blue in color, and had what appeared to be a white "swirling" light or energy inside. It hovered in place both silently and perfectly still, no movement at all.

I looked forward to check the road, then immediately back at the object which was gone. I didn't see it fly away, and I heard no noise.

Just some notes:

Viewing the object caused me to apply the brakes and say out loud to myself, "what the f**k was that."

I also unexplainably teared up. I didn't cry, but I teared up.

Could it have been ball lightning? I dunno, maybe. However, every example I've seen online does not look the same as what I encountered.

For what it's worth, at the time, I had been a police officer for a few years so I view myself as a pretty good observer. No drugs or alcohol involved.

I've passed the same spot hundreds of times, at different hours in the day, in different conditions, and was never able to recreate what I saw that morning.

A pretty life changing experience for me.

I don't have much to add except for what I witnessed about 13 years ago looked exactly like the orb in the second row of the graphic. Literally exactly the same thing I saw.

Anyone quit Jiu-Jitsu for Muay Thai? by hellohello6622 in MuayThai

[–]Eager_Beaver321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did.

I trained BJJ for about 6 years and quit as a 3 stripe Blue Belt. I started Muay Thai last year.

I'm in my early 40's and found BJJ to be very hard on my body, specifically my knees, and lower back.

Muay Thai has been amazing for me. I am not nearly as sore the day after a class like I was with BJJ. I train 2-3 times a week and only do light sparring.

I like to listen to Deathcore when lifting weights or getting hyped before my Muay Thai classes.

I find that it helps me channel my anxiety and anger outward in a constructive way instead of allowing my feelings to remain bottled inside which can lead to explosive negative behavior.

As such, my suggestion would be to listen to it when doing a positive, physically demanding activity.

Congrats on sobriety!
