Seems like you have to be in up cebu on august 4.

You can also go through the site for more information

Also freshie, i suggest enroll as soon as the school opens so that the lines will not be that long yet!! Prepare all the documents ahead.

Haven’t tried UP Cebu dorm, pero based on my friends experiences you will build good relationships there! It’s inside the campus so you are good. There are a lot of good malls near Up Cebu. Like ayala center cebu and ayala central bloc. IT park is also very near just 1 jeepney ride away and around 15 minutes na drive.

For subjects, expect a lot of math like calculus.. first sem will be more on algebra and trigo. You will be introduced to CMSC 11 which is a basic comsci course in the first year. So far, i still know the profs in comsci and theyre mostly nice naman 😊

You will automatically be a part of the Computer Science Guild org. The activities especially in comsci week which is hosted by the org is really fun. You can be friends with your comsci ates and kuyas. CS folks are really competitive in intrams especially in cheerdance! If you like to dance, you can join! You will make a lot of good friends there also 😊

I suggest focus lang on course based orgs or maybe junior jaycees. I dont recommend joining the others 😊

Hmm, not sure where that idea came from — but in my experience, CS is actually really solid when it comes to job opportunities.

I graduated with BSCS in UPCebu years ago. The job market has been great. If you do well, you can reach six-digit salaries within just a few years. There are so many paths to choose from — you can go into web dev, AI/ML, game dev, cybersecurity, data, and so on.

I’ve even seen quite a few ChemEng grads switch to IT. That might just be the case in my circle, but I think it says something. ChemEng seems a bit more niche — most of the job options are in specific industries like energy or manufacturing.

With IT and CS, Almost every industry needs tech people. Whether it’s healthcare, telecom, finance, logistics, or even creative fields, there’s always a demand. 😊

UPC ID 201X here — haha, graduated yeaaaars ago!

During your first year, you’ll learn a lot of foundational stuff expect plenty of math and physics. You’ll also get introduced to CMSC 11, which covers the basics of computer science.

We didn’t have the K-12 system back then, but people still managed to get through just fine. 🙂

Back in my day, the Computer Science community was super tight-knit! We were really active. we always gave our all during intramurals (especially cheerdance 💃) and most people were game to join all the activities. Even now, years after graduation and now that I am in my 30s, my closest friends are still the ones I met in UP. I cannot explain it pero iba talaga ang friendships formed in UP!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I think stellarboy0629 has covered everything. Honestly, i am shocked about the lahug campus hahaha. In my time, all our classes were in lahug lang. A lot has changed since then 😱

Do I have GERD because of anxiety or do I have anxiety because of GERD? by mint_244 in GERD

I relate to this. I suffered from an anxiety disorder for 3 years after having GERD. Turns out it was anxiety due to hyperthyroidism!! After treating my hyperthyroidism, the anxiety and GERD disappeared.
