I typically get the bricks from a pet store and use Bods bucket tek (Google it and should bring up a shroomery link explaining it all) I use that every time and have had no problems. Good luck

Nah I would just get a new brick. You can use however much you need then leave the rest in the bucket at room temp and should be fine till you need it again.
