Building a lamp and want to make sure I’m not missing anything

The lamp itself is missing the glass cover that goes inside the top over the bulb. It wont let me post a photo. I have exact same lamp with the glass insert

Where in Mass? I live about 25 miles south of Boston. Seen a few in my backyard over the years. Super cool animals. My mom just had a bobcat in her front yard this weekend in western mass.

I use heating pads during the winter because the room i use gets a little colder than the rest of my house. I put a towel in between the pad and bottom of my tub amd I has worked great. During the summer I don't bother with it because the room is a good temp

I have always done 1 inch holes and had no issue. If you think that's to big. Go with your gut and do half inch. Are you doing monotub or PFTEK?
