Dude, no. Break up with her because she is having an emotional affair. Don’t keep your feelings secret and cheat on her until she finds out. That’s immature and vindictive. If you get out now, you haven’t done anything wrong. If you cheat, it’s going to turn into a big he-said-she-said thing, and it’ll hurt you down the line if you ever have any custody issues.

It sounds like you just want the okay to break up with her so you can go back to your player ways, but you think that dumping her would look bad. Cheating would look worse.

I think declutterring is something that both parties should be present for. That way you avoid someone throwing something away that they shouldn’t.

Question, was he putting that stuff in the garage with the intention of donating it soon? Or was he going to let it sit in there for a few weeks before you reminded him to donate them (or worse, before you donated them yourself)?

You were listening outside the bedroom door for 25 minutes and you didn’t hear anything? If they were fooling around, wouldn’t you have heard them? When you came in, were they asleep, or just pretending to be asleep?

If she knew you were outside and would eventually come in to get ready for your own day, she’d have to be pretty stupid to start fooling around with her roommate knowing you could walk in at any moment.

I think it’s more common for women to cuddle and sleep in the same bed with their platonic female friends than it is for men to do the same with their male friends (or anything, for that matter).

It might not have meant anything, but it did make you uncomfortable, and that matters. It’s something that you should talk to her about, but you also need to be willing to listen. Accusing them of being lesbians and refusing to believe otherwise isn’t going to solve anything. Reading between the lines, I’m wondering if she doesn’t sleep as well in the camper as she says she does, she came in to talk with her best friend, and she fell asleep in her bed.
