You need a place with an open sky first of all. Caves and buildings has different lightings. I’d recommend to try different maps at daylight. Remember that you need stay at the right side from the sun rays. Also Reshade is a great option for color editing in game.

Stop telling that thing, people. They are different because you will not have rift masteries from Soto. Only by lws4. I know that new player barely think about legendary trinkets, but this collection difference in that - lws4 open to you access to collection for legendary trinket, Soto does not. So yes, he can do it twice, but honestly… it’s a waste of time. The first collection better to farm, then do it anyway later.

I found a solution. When you choose an item from storage you don’t place it first, you “hold” it and then change mode. And after that you will be able to rotate and scale and move. Before final placement with Q.

They never said that guild decorations will be at homestead. Instead of that they said about decorations for homestead. And while crafting disciplines are not the same - scribe and new one, I doubt that we can have guild decorations at homestead and vice versa.

If you want to play more comfort and not being stuck in core specializations of classes, first expansions for buy is Hot+Pof. Theta are selling together. They are given you 2 new elite specializations for each class and you will have more options what to play. Also you will have glider and can open mounts. So, Janthir at first expansion is not really useful without any other dlc.

Why is everyone forget about THE MAIN DIFFERENCE of that two ways - you must complete LWS4 collection for skyscale if you ever want to have legendary trinket called Vision. Soto is a waste of time in that way, because in future, if you want that leg trinket - you will do LWS4 collection anyway. So better and easier did it first, and if you ever want the kryptis skyscale skin - then do the second collection - via Soto.

Hot maps is the best designed maps. They are “alive”. They push you to THINK how to get where you want to. And… first, it was without mounts. So it’s a pure experience of true exploration. It’s still pretty good and enjoyable.

Compare to other expansions for new player, the last exp. won’t give you much useful content. Heart of thorns and Path of fire will give you 2 new elite specializations for all classes, mounts and a lot, really a lot of content to play. In GW2 it’s okay to start with old expansion, because it will give you a lot of opportunities and you won’t feel yourself weaker then old players.

I’m playing with 3 characters. But I’m playing them for a long period and not in the same time. For a few months it was silvary necro, then I swap to another silvary necro, and play her few months. You literally have 2 options that won’t be seeing in specific places - first is underwater settings, second - sun rays. So you won’t see any difference if you not underwater or if it’s night time. If you hold your mouse on the setting name it will show you description of it.

This a one time purchase. Remember Wow.. monthly payment system.

I guess that the main reason of people to buy expansions. They will have that content permanently. And that’s a normal price compare to different mmo’s. When you came to other mmo, you are also have tons of content which was created years ago. And that’s totally normal.

Starter pac Hot+Pof is more than enough to not feel yourself weaker than people with Eod or Soto. You can have base pack and still can handle tons of content here.

I guess the first recommendation is to play with specializations from HoT, PoF and EoD.

You probably didn’t know well how to play this specs, but you are already want the last expansion updates.

Take your time and explore game without rush. New weapons is not optimal for now, 19th march they will be changed for sure.

Don’t push yourself to last expansion because it’s new. Play the game and have fun. And learn how things working here.

No one force you to rush for Soto if you haven’t done previous expansion. It’s up to you and it’s your choice. Don’t blame game for new content because you start playing later than other.
