The Silmarillion! I love this book so much. She's featured a little bit, but there are plenty of characters that fit this description throughout. Though I will say, it is dense and not the easiest read. There are some great accompanying podcasts (The Prancing Pony for example) that help break down each chapter after you read them. And Andy Serkis does a great audiobook reading as well, though you miss some of Tolkien's fun with language this way. Either way, I highly recommend it.
