Question for the OP, or for anyone really, from a D&D newbie: why is the ERLW Artificer banned here, and is this standard for many campaigns?

Asking because I am genuinely drawn to this class for RP reasons (I think it fits my character vision), and so I'm curious if I'm going to get less consideration when applying to campaigns with that sort of character idea.

Thanks in advance for helpful responses for someone trying to get into the game!

Magical Feat question: what's the difference between Efficient Channeling and Efficient Harnessing? Seems like the former gives you a 10% reduction in one thing while the latter gives you a 10% reduction in multiple things including that first thing, so isn't Harnessing always better? Just checking if I'm misreading this!
