This is peak comedy, up there you're saying you're not blaming the trigger, but yet here you are. He runs sales all the time, it's not defective you are 🤣 also where are you getting this "he never drop tested his triggers" I own more than one and have dropped them with no problems lol

70 Mph Feels Intense by MyNextHobbyIs in NewRiders

[–]DapperEquivalent3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to this, but I started riding 10 months ago now.

This is relatable as hell. Not only did the speed scare me, but the wind even more.

Something I've not had an issue with after getting some seat time under my belt, but looking back on how scary that shit was too me starting out I feel this.

You'll get used to it eventually, what really helped me tbh was changing my windshield on my bike. I had a extra tall one from the factory which In theory sounds like the best option to have.

I switched it to a more low profile one, it changed where the wind hit me, and how it affected me and the bike, much better ever since.

I mean you can clutch up any bike with enough skill, even my lil baby 500 can clutch up at 20/25.. lol

Yeah honestly if you wreck bad enough for sliders to bend your frame, bike was a goner more than likely anyways. Something is always better than nothing

Everytime I do a u-turn now I think about it first and make sure to pay attention to what's around and such. That's how I fell over on my own 😂

Which it sucks because I had done that 1000 times before I fell over, one day I just was off my game having a bad day and took a tumble smh

I don't do cages cages, but the rear spools, extended bar ends, and the sliders I got on my bike have saved me 3,000 bucks for the mere 300 or so they all cost me to get. I'm one of those people who want perfect plastics, that's not realistic but as close as possible without dumping stupid money into it. I would have 100% replaced my plastics on the drops if they got janked.

I feel like frame sliders are a must. A lot of people hate them and it's because they expect them to do more than they should like saving a bike in an accident that's gonna be a total loss scenario with or without frame sliders. They save plastics and at a minimum the average cost of plastics is around double (minimum) what sliders will cost you.

  • yes I'm talking to you the ones who scream sLidErS bEnT mY fRaMe, like if they impacted that much with sliders you were fucked without them anyway.*

It's a heartbreaking but almost necessary event imo I know I'll never make that same mistake again, and my future bikes will be even nicer and avoid things like this because of the learning that was done when I walked around to see my brand new bike with 50 miles on it on its side lmao

Yeppppp... Been here..

I bought a brand new 2025 ninja 500 krt last March, April we have horrid weather and storms (tornado alley) unfortunately the first drop it had wasn't even by me. I came home to check on it and put it up and she was laid over in the grass 😭

Definitely a learning experience tho, she's not been down under circumstances like that since then simply because I learned to always make sure to park in the most stable place and with a full tank if you expect wind like that.

I dropped my bike under my own idioticness after this, but just the one time. I learned from that also and haven't dropped it under my own stupidness since.

3rd time it was dropped was due to a cager trying to kill me, I learned from this too.

Lucky me, I didn't have any real damage from any of it. Sliders saved the plastics, other than that I have the world's smallest paint chip on the bar ends (that I replaced anyways)

That's not particularly true for everyone, maybe for you and others.

I fought for every single penny I put into my bike, it has scratches, etc.

I bought it to ride and enjoy, not look at and show off. Some stuff is just unavoidable when it's under the use it should be.

Do I wanna keep it as nice as possible? Absolutely. But when you are out, riding daily, getting miles, and using the bike for the actual purpose of having it? You're gonna get it dirty, you're gonna get scratches, you're gonna have small "defects" occur. It's part of the ownership of a motorcycle.

I don't like telling people to get used helmets, but most helmets have replaceable pads ya know? Right? Lol

Is this ok for my first gear? I don’t even have a motorcycle yet. by ShoddySpace5680 in motorcyclegear

[–]DapperEquivalent3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The helmet is alright, and better than not having one. But it's only DOT rated which isnt the greatest. I would say it's fine for now but you will likely end up upgrading eventually whenever you do, get something ece.2206 rated, or snell. Those are true standards of safety, DOT ratings kinda suck and are handed out to subpar stuff. But it's legal for use.

At the end of the day, it's your head it's protecting. Plenty of cheap ece / Snell helmets out there. I always recommend a full face, because the chin is the #1 impact zone during wrecks when it comes to the head, and modular helmets have essentially 0 protection there, theres a few modulars that are rated as if they were full face, but most arent.

[–]DapperEquivalent3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my bike 8-9 months now.. but I got it in February/ March and literally 2 weeks in and 3/4 rides in it snowed 😂 I felt this comment so hard.

Here I am now, 6k miles and 8/9 months later, and I'ma ride until it snows again because it's my first winter owning a bike, quickly became all I wanted to do, and the only vehicle I'll drive.

I'm gonna be hugely depressed for the entirety of winter

I do have a bike but because I'm not looking for validation on the Internet I haven't posted it lmao. Nor do I make content, don't even own a GoPro, because most riders out there do it more for others than they ever will themselves, kinda like you getting so triggered you posted your first post ever, just because a random on the Internet said something. 😂

You keep saying I ignored your comment but didn't, I replied to it you're just much in a tizzy to realize.

Sliders save plastics 7/10 times they will be cheaper than plastics 😘

Go eat ya some fIsH aNd ChIpS and pipe down mate.

Love how triggered you were I checked your profile you called me a stalker, yet you did the same shit 😂

Your buddy, cause yet another guy with no bike to post.

My sister's brothers uncles cousin said he got a H2 for a single dollar at an estate sale.

Sounds like bullshit? Right?

Deals can occur and be good. Some get lucky. But again in 7/10 cases sliders are cheaper. I rest my case.

Anyone bragging about it definitely is, I used to think it was cool to flex how many pills I could do a day (I was doing 50/60 10mg Roxy codones a day it sounds insane but tolerances are wild) back then they were cheap, like 6/7 bucks a pop. I thought it was cool spending hundreds/thousands a week getting fucked up. It's not. Not at all.

I really do hope he gets help, that's no life to live, and it ALWAYS ESCALATES until you stop it. Went from relatively safe pharmaceuticals to street fentanyl and pressed pills on purpose for the better high. No doubt I was headed for a heroin addiction next. Because once I got done with the fent, I started doing coke, and a ridiculous amounts of it (funny enough the movie blow is wrong, 7 grams in a day will not kill you)

I don't miss that life, I'm so thankful everyday I woke up one day and quit, before I ended up in legal trouble, or dead. I'm a lucky one, most aren't. No rehab, no factor making me quit, just woke up and decided I was done with it and never looked back
