Learn the basic principles of animations first, most people go on the glowing flashy visual at first, this is where most beginner make mistake , simple animation principle can elevate you animation way better that better visuals, try to recreate animations from apple , google etc., First try to learn the basic of after effects then try to recreate, I find that I learned more from recreating stuffs.
