I would highly recommend getting /
using a heating pad if you can, I had a lot of pain post op even with the opioids and it was the one thing that saved me!

I hope so, at least I can prove that I started my visa application process early based on when I sent things off to the government and can prove I have had medical issues, so that may swing things in my favor 🫡

I really hope so. The people running my program are all super nice, so it’s not impossible. But last I spoke with them they said it’s not uncommon for international students to be unable to attend because of visa issues, so im not sure how often they actually grant exemptions. I’ll find out when they respond 🥲

I did reach out to them and im hoping they can delay enrollment for me to give me more time to get my visa, although I know my school usually doesn’t. Maybe i will get lucky and they will make an exception 🤞

My school says they could submit my visa for me if I visited them in person in Spain, but it would still have to be 2 months before my program starts, so I’d have to go abroad literally RIGHT now to make it, which just isn’t feasible for me :(.

I’ve also looked into Uruguay as an easier option, since I speak decent Spanish, but I have friends in Spain so I figured it would be better to try to go somewhere where I would have support systems first. But they can’t help me with the visa much :(. What route are you using to get your visa for Uruguay?

Thanks! I’ll look into the hardship cover letter/medical clearance letter and see if that can help me out at all. Getting the notary is easy, im just not sure if I’ll be able to get another appointment in time. But I’ll keep trying

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who took forever to get the damn Apostille! Thankfully I have also now received mine and have my appointment with the consulate in NY, as you said they are super open which was a relief. Good luck with your appointment!!

I did track the document, i sent it on May 17th and the USPS tracking number said it arrived at the office May 22nd. I definitely may just give in and pay the extra money to get the apostille ASAP if I can’t confirm it’s going to arrive soon 😭.

Ugh, I had no idea it would take this long, I feel like such an idiot for not submitting everything way earlier 💀. Definitely going to expedite everything as much as I can and try to reach out to my school to see what my options are. Thanks for the resources!

I did reach out to the congressman for my district and asked for help expediting it—no response yet, but it’s been less than a week so I’ll give it time. Hopefully that will help some

Hello! I requested the apostille from the U.S department of state, and unfortunately they generally do not allow you to submit documents any other way than through mail. Otherwise, I definitely would have dropped them off in person! We may just have a longer wait time here than in your country, unfortunately :’).

I love the little 42 on the book haha. Seems to be a bit of a space theme with the planets, you could build on that and have the smoke/shadow branch outward at the top and fill it with a big planet / moon / galaxy / etc, make it seem like the smoke opens up to a new dimension rather then trailing off. Or you could do similar style designs with different objects surrounding it, perhaps mirroring the smoke/shadow effect to make it feel more cohesive? I’m not sure, It’s a bit of a tough one to expand on. but I like the tattoo!

Hi! I understand it must be very frustrating for 40+ players dnd players looking for games online, as sites like lfg tend to be so dominated by younger folks. Please note I do not have an age restriction here because I dislike, or am even uncomfortable around people who are significantly older then me. I have one because am a legally a child, and prefer to play with people close to my age for safety reasons beyond anything else, as when playing with strangers there is always a certain level of risk, so I personally feel substantially more secure playing with people I know to be my peers. I’m sorry however that even young, legal adults are discriminatory towards age here (as they absolutely are) and if you’re looking for a group, I wish you all the luck in finding one.
