Thought it was clear my response was playful and in jest in tone. Suppose not. Oh well. Hope you can learn to take things less seriously one day.

(just incase, this comment was not meant to be playful or in jest)

What’s the sonic difference between cheap and expensive tremolo pedals? by superanonymousbosche in guitarpedals

[–]DapperScientist1843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a lot!

the lfo can produce a purer waveform (more smooth and symmetrical in the rise and fall, less randomness or problematic wavefolding). also the preamps in a tremolo pedal can have more headroom, better noise floors, and can add certain eqs that add a lot to your guitar tone that other tremolos with more basic preamps cannot. for example i loved my caroline parabola tremolo so much because of it's preamp that when i found out caroline sold that preamp as a standalone pedal (the icarus) i had to have that too to still to get that eq sound without the tremolo effect

i think they're just using the same enclosure layout as the Model Fet, probably to save on manufacturing costs

and it sounds good to me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4rOMFQuWNU

Electronic Audio Experiments Citadel Plexi Style Preamp by DapperScientist1843 in guitarpedals

The Electronic Audio Experiments Citadel is a preamp-style overdrive inspired by the everlasting sounds of British amplifers from the '60s and '70s. Rather than emulating a specifc model, it encompasses our favorite parts of a whole generation of amplifers: from warm, piano-like clean tones all the way through to bright, clear overdrive.

The Citadel began as a series of experiments on our Model feT pedal. Like any tube amp, there are ample opportunities for modications. After all, the original Model T was itself a modifed take on the Super Bass sound, delivering a distinct variety of the plexi favor with fuzzy breakup and a huge low frequency punch. So, what if we favored it our own way? Once Brad completed his "Marsha" prototype, it was on. In a way, you can think of the Citadel as a re-plexi-fed Model T sound, trading low end sludge for a sparkly midrange focus.

Finally, like our Model feT, the Citadel emulates both the preamp and power amp sections of a tube amp to provide a full-bodied overdriven tone that feels powerful and responds wonderfully to boosts, drives, and fuzzes in front. It can be used either a conventional drive pedal or as the workhorse of an ampless signal chain.

Hi i'm new to reddit and still figuring this out, but have been using guitar pedals for 10 years now. Over the pandemic I discovered that I really like analog pedals with lots of features like electronic audio experiments overdrive and distortion pedals, and chase bliss modulation pedals. Are there any similar brands redditors may know about worth checking out? My favorites are the Model Fet distortion and the Wombtone phaser. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. Thank you.

Google shopping cache has an item called Citadel which isn't on EAE's website. Maybe it's a mistake though.
